     Matthias removed to Virginia in 1760 with his family. He had five children: James, Peter, Polly, Peggy, and Sally. His wife was not listed.
He was drafted into the Virginia militia for 6 months and served under Capt. Jacob Linder. On Oct 16 1781 he joined the army at Little York and was present at the taking of Cornwallis. After the surrender he guarded British soldiers until Apr 1782.
He removed to Kentucky after the Revolutionary War.1
     He moved to Kentucky.1 Andrew Shuck made a will. It was probated in May 1803 in Shelby County, KY.1 Andrew Shuck's estate settlement papers include 'Wm. Poland cared for Margaret Shuck, widow, while weak, feeble and infirm, from 1 Jan 1812 to 1 Jan 1820.' (It is unclear, whether this is the estate of Andrew (d. 1803) or his son Andrew (d. 1830.)1)

     In 1829 Andrew went to Fulton County and bought 160 acres of woodland. From this he cleared a fine farm on which he resided until his death.1
     Andrew was never a church member but was of the old-school Presbyterian belief.
The Shucks were parents of eleven children but had grandchildren only through their daughter, Margaret Bacon. In his will, Andrew left 640 acres, including the original farm to the Bacon family.1 Name variation: Andy Shuck.1

     Cornelius was supposed to inherit 80 acres on the north side of the fence from his father's will. Actually he inherited only 18 3/4 acres from the final dissolution of the Low Dutch Company. Cornelius had already purchased 91 3/4 acres to the north for $458 from the heirs of Abraham Banta, who was the first trustee of the Low Dutch Company. The lands were in Shelby County and were part of Lot #7 originally drawn by Banta.1
