Henry Hopper Alyea was born on 10 December 1843.³ He was baptized on 11 February 1844 at Paterson, NJ, (Totowa DRC.)³ He (1) married Hannah Amanda Terhune, daughter of James Terhune and Sarah Terwilliger, on 24 May 1870 at Midland Park, Bergen County, NJ, (ME Church.)^3,4 Henry Hopper Alyea (2) married Elizabeth Lutkins, daughter of Stephen Lutkins and Hannah Ackerman, on 14 April 1886.^3,4 Henry Hopper Alyea died in 1928.³ He was buried in Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood.³

Henry Hopper Alyea lived at Norwood, Bergen County, NJ.⁴ The 1880 census lists Henry D Alyea and Hannah at Saddle River Twp, Bergen County, NJ, with their daughters May and Kate.⁵
Alyea Family Notes show a Thomas (b. 1864) and Harry (b. 1866) Alyea as children in Henry Hopper Alyea's family. These were removed to the family of Albert D and Maria Hopper Alyea. BC-Families has no children for either couple.^3,6 Name variation: Henry David Alyea.^3,7
