Einske Stoffels and John Van Wetering emigrated on 8 February 1853 (to North America with their 5 children Frederick P, Simeon G, Johannes Martinus, Johannes Jacobus and Bouwke Simon.)3 The 1860 census lists John Van Wetering and Einske at 3rd Division, 12th Ward at New York City, New York County, NY, with Seaman (17), Ennis (13), John (9), all b. Holland, and Boughty (5) and Henrietta (5m), b. NY. The ages and names are off, so it is possible that this is not the son of Frederick and Johanna Van Wetering. He is a fisherman, aged 41, his wife is also 41. However, Ennis, John, Boughty and Henrietta do not match.6 The 1870 census lists John Van Wetering and Einske at New Barbadoes Twp, Bergen County, NJ, with three children: John (19, b. Holland), Robert (14, b. NJ) and Anna (10 b. NJ.)7 Married name: Susanna VanWetering.4 Name variation: Sienge Van Wittring (in 1860 census.)6
