Will of Derick Jansz Van Der Vliet, aged 67, and his wife Geertie Gerrits, aged 54. Dated 15 Jan 1679/80. Codicil dated May 29, 1689. Oldest daughter Hendrickie, married Jan Nelse, born of his first wife Lyntie Aertsz. Daughter's daughter Catharina Nelse. Son Gerrit Dericksz, born of his second wife.      The passengerlist of the ship "Gov. Cobb," sailing from Havana, Cuba to Key West (arriving there 3 Mar 1930) lists Kryn and Kate, and lists their marriage date. They are living in Paterson; they spent 4 days in Cuba. Kate had been admitted to the US from Canada in March 1922.4 Kryn Van der Wende and Kate lived at 75 19th Street at Paterson, NJ, acc. to the passenger list; but the 1930 census has them at 229 East 20th Street.4,5 His parents were Kommer van der Wende and Lijntje den Eenzamen (or Porter.)2
