     Jesse Pruiksma and Hermana Ykema immigrated in 1894.⁴ The 9 June 1900 census lists Jesse Pruiksma and Minnie at 49 Hopper Street at Manchester Township, Passaic County, NJ, with six children: Ida (Oct 1885), Theodore (Jan 1888), Walter (Sep 1889), Herman (Jul 1891) all born in Holland, and Nick (Jul 1893) and Jennie (Oct 1895), born in NJ.¹ The 1910 census lists Jesse Pruiksma and Minnie at 209 Summer Street at Passaic (Ward 2), Passaic County, NJ, with nine children: Ida (23), Wolter (20), Herman (18), Nicholas (16), Jennie (14), Tillie (9), Orie (7), Sadie (7), and Ella (5.)⁵ The 1920 census lists Jesse Pruiksma and Ermaina at 209 Summer Street at Passaic (Ward 2), NJ, with their children Tilly (19), Orie (17) , Sadie (17) and Ella (15). Jessie has a grocerystore, Orie works there as clerk.⁶ His parents were Watze Pruiksma and Aukje Reyenga.² Name variation: Jetze Pruiksma ((in the Netherlands.)³)

     Hendrick Pruyn was born on 13 June 1670.¹ He married Annetje Hoffman, daughter of Martinus Hoffman and Emmerentje DeWitt, on 4 January 1702 at Kingston, NY.^1,2
