     Pieter Quackenbush lived in Oostergeest (Oegstgeest.)8 He immigrated in 1653 to New York on board the 'Graft' under the auspices of the Dutch West Indies Company.3 In 1668 Pieter purchased the brickyard in Albany from Adriaan Lipendam. Pieter had operated the brickyard as early as 1654. Pieter's wife was also closely involved in operating the brickyard.3
     Elmer monograph has the children born in Valkenburg, Katwijk, The Netherlands. The Katwijk website has no children, but there are 3 baptisms in the DTB. I have not been able to find the burials.3,6,9,10 Name variation: Pieter Quakkenbosch.3
