     John Onderdelinde was born on 5 September 1875 at The Netherlands.^1,4,3 He married Mary Vander Velde on 10 April 1901.¹ John Onderdelinde died on 21 April 1966 at 46 Hopper Street, Paterson, Passaic County, NJ, SSDI had death at 15 Apr 1966.¹ He was buried on 25 April 1966 in Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Fair Lawn.¹

     The 1910 census lists John Onderlinde and Mary at 46 Hopper Street at Paterson City (Ward 1), Passaic County, NJ, with two children: Cornelius (8) and Hendrina (1), both born NJ. Acc. to this census the parents are also born in NJ.⁵ The 1920 census lists John Onderdelinde and Mary at 46 Hopper Street at Paterson City (Ward 1), NJ, with three children: Cornelius (17), Hendriena (11) and John H (5) all born in NJ, and his brother-in-law Paul van der Velde (41, b. Holland, works in a machine shop, imm 188?, NA 1890.)⁶ The 1930 census lists John Onderlinde and Mary at 46 Hopper Street at Paterson City (Ward 1), NJ, with their son John Jr. (15, b. NJ) and his father Cornelius Onderlinde.⁷ John Onderdelinde was in 1964 originally a mason, but he sold coffee, tea and spices door-to-door, and operated a grocery store at 46 Hopper Street until his retirement in 1964. The obituary says he had the store since 1900, but the first time John shows up in the census as a grocer is in 1920. In 1910 he is a clerk in a grocerystore at 46 Hopper Street, Paterson, Passaic County, NJ.^1,2,5,6

     Abraham Onderdonk was born on 9 May 1743 at Rockland County, NY.¹ He married Easter Palmer on 22 December 1772.¹ Abraham Onderdonk died on 25 November 1823 at New Hempstead, NY.¹

     Abraham signed the Association Test at Orange Town, 17 Jul 1775. He was elected First Lieutenant of Minute Men for the south end of Orange County on 16 Dec 1776 (Col. NY Hist. Mss., Revolution, I, 6,8, 558).¹

     Abraham Onderdonk made a will on 7 May 1758. It was probated 23 Jun 1758. He is of Orange County. He mentions son Abraham (under age), cousin Adriaen (son of Gerrit Onderdonck), and Rem Onderdonck. Executors: brothers Capt. Andries Onderdonck and Gerrit Onderdonck. Witnesses: Theodorus Snedeker, Rem Monfoort, and Adriaen Onderdonck.
     Fernow seems to list three cousins: Adriaen (son of Andries Onderdonck), Capt. Gerrit (son of Gerrit Onderdonck), and Rou Onderdonck.^7,5,6

     Abraham A Onderdonk was born on 23 December 1778.¹ He married Maria Youry on 9 June 1804 at West New Hempstead, Rockland County, NY, (Kakiat DRC) (Abraham Onderdonk and Maria Yury.)^1,2 Abraham A Onderdonk died on 5 May 1857 at Ramapo, NY.¹

     Maria Youry was born in Monsey, NY.¹

     Adrian Onderdonk was baptized on 30 March 1714 at Jamaica, NY, (DRC) (sp. Andries Onderdonck and Geertruy Onderdonck; father Adriaen Onderdonck, mother Sara Onderdonck.)^2,4,5,6 He married Sophia Wiltsie.³

     Adrian Onderdonk and Sophia had at least two children bp. at Jamaica bef. 1738. Onderdonk has 2 children bp. Jamaica, 4 children with birth dates (incl. Maria), and 4 without dates.^7,8

     Adrian Onderdonk was born on 25 February 1732 at Tappan, NY.⁴ He was baptized on 30 April 1732 at Tappan, NY, (DRC) (sponsors: Adriaen Onderdonck and Sara his wife; father Andrees Onderdonk, mother Marretje Remsen.)^5,6,3 He married Willempie Eckerson, daughter of Thomas Eckerson and Elizabeth Meyer.^4,7,2 Adrian Onderdonk died on 12 October 1818 at age 86.7.17.⁸ He was buried in Kakiat DRC Cemetery in West New Hempstead.^8,9

     Adrian served in the Revolutionary War as a private in Col. A. Hawk Hay's Second Orange County Militia regiment. Cornelius lived on the farm of his father during the Revolutionary War.^1,10,2 Adrian Onderdonk made a will on 26 January 1815. It was filed in Rockland County, and proved 23 Nov 1818.      Adriaen Andriesz Onderdonk was born at New Utrecht, NY.³ He was baptized on 24 August 1684 at Flatbush, NY, (DRC) (sponsors: Hend'k and Gertie V. Vliet the younger; father Andries Adriasz Onderdonk, mother Maria V. Vliet.)^4,5 He married Sara Snediker, daughter of Garret Snediker and Elsje Teunis De Nys.^6,1 Adriaen Andriesz Onderdonk died at Nyack, NY, at age 80.⁷

He mentions his wife Willemanchy; eldest son Aaron; youngest daughter Frenchey (under 25); grandchildren Petrus and Mary Underdunck; children: Aaron, Rulof, Abraham, Garret, Andrew, John, Paules, Lambert, Sarah, Mary, Doralty, and Frenchey. His wife, sons Aaron and Rulif to be executors.⁹
     Konight has the same marriages for both Andries! Son bp. Tappan #1052. Acc. to BC-Families Onderdonck File, Andries (1711) married Sara Remsen; but that file also has the bp. date of Andries (1711) as the baptismal date for Andries (1707). Andries (1711) has at least three children bp. in Jamaica with Saara:

     Konight has a Hendrick Onderdonck, who married Mery; he was the sponsor on 2 Dec 1722 in Jamaica for Hendrick, son of Adrian (really Andries) and Sara Onderdonck. This Hendrick and Mery have a daughter Letitia/Lettiese bp. on the same date, for which Adrian Onderdonck and Hepsteber Hendricksen are sponsors.
     The Onderdonk Genealogy claims this Hendrick (bp. 1665) is a brother of Andries. Acc. to Hendrick's will, as written there, he died before 1730, and lists his daughter Letitia as wife of Giles Seaman; but she would have been 8 yrs old at the time!!
     A Hendrik Adriaens is bp. in NYC (29 Apr 1665, Hendrick, son of Adriaen Andrieszen and Belitje Hendricks, sponsors Pieter Janszen Romer and Tryntie Reymers.) There is nothing to suggest he would be related to Onderdonk or Van der Donck.
     BC-Families Onderdonk File has Adrian, Andries, and Hendrick as sons of Adrian Van der Donk and Mary Doughty; this file does not continue Hendrick, as he has only one daughter.
     Konight (FGS Hendrick Onderdonk, prob. on the presumption that Hebsibah is related to Belitje Hendricks, see above) and Jamaica DRC has baptisms for children of Hendrick Hendricksen and Hepsibah Hendricksen: Harmen (29 Jun 1703, sponsors: William Jansen and Annetie Jansen), Thomas (27 Oct 1704, no sponsors), Sara (26 Apr 1709, no sponsors), Mary (28 May 1711, sponsors the father and the mother), and Johannes (24 Mar 1717, sponsors Thomas and Antie Hendrickse. These sponsors have a child Hepsibah bp. on the same day, for which Johannes' parents are sponsors).
