Henry Lemmerman1

M, b. June 1848, d. 1924
     Henry Lemmerman was born in June 1848 at Germany.2 He married Anna Wilhelmina Gross, daughter of Christian F Gross and Anna L, on 15 August 1872 at Hackensack, NJ, (German Lutheran Church.)3,4,5 Henry Lemmerman died in 1924.6 He and Wilhelmina Lemmerman were buried in Maple Grove Park Cemetery in Hackensack.6,7

     The 1900 census lists Henry Lemmerman and Wilhelmina, with two children, both b. NY: Louisa H (18, b. Dec 1881) and Hermann (15, b. Jan 1885); his mother-in-law Lucy Gross (79, b. Mar 1821, Germany, wid., 8 children, 7 living); Theresa Karock (17, b May 1883, Germany, servant, imm 1893), and William Kaeshbe (37, b. Dec 1862, Germany, servant, imm. 1880, alien). Henry is 51, b. Jun 1848, rubber manufacturer, imm 1865); Wilhelmina is 51, b. Sep 1848, Germany, imm. unclear. They were married 28 yrs, two children, both living.5 The 1905 census lists Henry Lemmerman and Anna W at Hasbrouck Heights, Bergen County, NJ, with Hermann Lemmerman (20, b. Dec 1884, NY, insurance clerk), and Anna L. Gross (84, b. Mar 1821, Germany, wid., 40? yrs in US); Julia Ruane (20, b. Jan 1883, Ireland, house servant, 1y in US) and William Kasahuba (42, b. Dec 1862, Germany, coachman, 16y in US, alien). Henry was 56, b. Jun 1848, Germany, rubber manufacturer; Anna W was 56, b. Sep 1848, Germany.2 Name variation: Claus Henry Lemmerman.4
