He was Jan Snedicker, van Oldenburg, soldier, wid. of Griet Michiels, at the Elandsgracht; she Annetje Ruis, 33 yrs, from ?, with the consent of her mother.)3,2 Jan Snedecker (3) married Egbertji Jans on 2 May 1677.6,3 Jan Snedecker died in 1679.6

     Jan Snedecker and Griet had another daughter Annetie, who died young, but mother is not listed. One daughter Annetie was mentioned in the Orphan Masters Records of Amsterdam.5
     He came to New Netherlands before 1640, as Gerrit was bp. there, but prob. earlier, as there seem to be no bp in Amsterdam; he was a shoemaker and tavern keeper, and served as a magistrate from 1659 to 1664.6,7
