Nehemiah Vreeland lived in 1912 at 22 Prince St. at Paterson, NJ.⁵ He made a will at Passaic County, NJ. (#47261 H-2 P.Pr. 557 N-5 Will 539.) Nehemiah Vreeland lived between 1943 and 1945 at 415 15th Ave at Paterson, NJ.⁵ After his common school education, Nehemiah went to work in Clark's hardware store. In 1899 he took over the business and continued until the Great Fire in Paterson in 1902. He then took a position in the Hamilton Trust Company.
Nehemiah served as the organist for the Market Street, Main Street and Grace Methodist Churches. He had two other avocations, one of which was manufacturing wines and the other was coin collecting. He possessed several rare coins that were unique in this country.⁶

Nicholas Vreeland was born on 13 August 1815 (Vreeland History has date as 17 Aug 1817.)^3,4 He married Ellen Masker, daughter of Richard Maseker and Elizabeth Stults, on 20 November 1837 at Godwinville, NJ, (NJ Marriages has 9 Nov.)^1,5 Nicholas Vreeland died on 9 May 1885 at Hackensack, NJ.^2,6 He was buried in DRC Cemetery in Hackensack, Sec I, Plot 40. They later were removed to Hackensack. There are two additional names in the cemetery plot: E.V.F. 1827-1911; Eliza 15 Jun 1880 - 1 mo 3 days.^6,3
