He was a allopathic physician; he attended State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine, Brooklyn: Long Island Coll. Hosp., 1875, (G.)1,5,6 He made a will on 27 February 1908. It was proved in Jun 1908. It mentioned his wife Harriet E. Terhune, living at 169 Adelphi Street, Brooklyn, NY; his brother Samuel L. Terhune, living at 112 Washington Street, Mount Vernon, NY; his sister Catherine Dodez, living at 61 Downing Street, Brooklyn, NY; his sister Agnes Lozier, wife of Daniel C. Lozier, living at 607 Madison Street, Brooklyn, NY; his niece, Daisy Durkee, living at 61 Downing Street, Brooklyn, NY; and his nephew George Durkee, living at South Bend, Indiana; as wellas a number of other friends, and a number of other nieces and nephews.7,8 His parents were Abram I. Terhune and Mary Elizabeth Jackson.2 Name variation: James Jackson Terhune.2
