     George P Dyer was born on 27 August 1824 at South Kingstown, Washington County, RI.2 He married Lucy Angeline Woodmansee, daughter of Moses Woodmansee and Nancy Burdick, on 11 March 1845 at Hopkinton, Washington County, RI. George P Dyer died on 13 March 1907 at Coventry, Kent County, RI.3 He was buried on 21 March 1907 in Richmond Cemetery in Warwick.

     George P Dyer is a Civil War veteran, having served in E Company, 1st Regiment, RI Cavalry. He was a resident of Wood River Junction, RI.4,5 The 1870 census lists George P Dyer and Lucy A, with Carolina, William F, Lucy A, Sara E and Mary J., and Nathan D Perkins. It is not indicated whether Nathan is married to Caroline. Nathan is 21, and is working in the Cotton Mill alongside George Dyer and William F. Dyer.6 The 1880 census lists George P Dyer and Lucy A, with daughters Mary J. and Lucy A and son-in-law Samuel Dyer (Lucy is on the next page). William F Dyer and Jennie Dyer lives in the next dwelling.7 The 1 June 1885 census lists George P Dyer and Lucy A at Richmond, Rhode Island, with their daughter Lucy A Dyer, Flora B Dyer and Mary J. Dyer. The census is arranged alphabetically, but males and females separately, and head-of-households before other male residents; wives before daughters. George P. is on image 11, his wife and daughter on image 42, and daughter Mary J. and granddaugher Flora B on image 43. There are 5 people in the family.8,9 Name variation: Bonnie Dyer.10

     The 1900 census lists Harry Holliday and Lucy A at Providence, Providence County, RI, with a daughter Flora Dyer (dob as Oct 1880.)5 The 1910 census lists Harry Holliday and Lucy A, with their daughter Flora.6 The 1920 census lists Harry Holliday and Lucy A, with his step-children Flora B Dyer and George A Dyer. Flora is single, George is divorced.7
     George Dyer is listed as stepson in 1920, and is noted as divorced at the time. We have no record of him living in the household prior to 1920. Flora Dyer is listed as daughter in the 1900 census and as stepdaughter in the 1915 RI State Census; Flora Holliday is listed as daughter in the 1910 Fed. census, and 1925 RI State Census. Name variation: Lucy Angeline Dyer.2 Married name: Holliday.
