Soert Olfertszen was from Friesland.^2,3 He (1) married Ytie Roelofs.¹ Soert Olfertszen (2) married Heyltje Pieters on 26 September 1697 at New York City (DRC.)^4,5 (with license. He was Sourt Olphertszen, wid. of [name not entered]; she Heyltie Pieters, wid. of [name not entered] both living here; reg. On 26 September 1697.)⁵ Soert Olfertszen died before 5 October 1702.⁶

     Schout Olfert came to New Netherland on 27 Sep 1663 on "De Statyn" with his wife and a 2yr old child.^3,2
     Siourt and Ytie were listed in the NYDC member list of 1686 as "Seurt Olphertsen and his wife Ytie Roelofse" (member #31-2, name #37-8.)^7,8
     On 23 Sep 1697 Soert Olfertszen and Heyltje Pieters, widow of Cornelius Clopper, late of this city, are planning to marry. They make an agreement about their respective properties.⁹
     BC-Families has a marriage between Soert Olfertszen and Jannetje Snedecker on 19 Nov 1701, but does not say where.¹⁰ Soert Olfertszen made a will on 19 August 1702. It was proved 5 Oct 1702. He was Shuart Olpherts, of the city of New York. Makes his son Olphert Shuarts sole heir to all his estate. Witnesses: Cornelius Clopper, Stephanus Bockenhoven, and William Huddlestone.⁶
     Pencilled in on FGS of Soert Olfertszen (Konight) was "Adolph Seort, m. Marg. Ekker 1719 Hack p.41. ch. Hack. p.129, 146, 169."¹¹

Who is Jan: m. Tryntje Bosboom, ch. 1706 NYDC p.316 (From Billard: 1706 Jul 07; Jan Olphert, Tryntje Bosboom; Margrietje; Jan Pero & wife Metje, Tunis Quick)
This could be a son of Olphert, but there does not seem to be a baptism for this Jan; his son Johannes was bp. 1691, too late to have a child in 1706.^11,12 Name variation: Sourt Olphertszen.⁵
