     William Drake was born on 22 February 1828.² He married Rachel Morgan Axford, daughter of Daniel Axford and Margaret Morgan.¹ William Drake died on 14 February 1892.² He was buried in Union Cemetery in Hackettstown.¹

     William Henry Drake was born in 1852.¹ He married Adeline Ayers, daughter of John Ayers and Margaret Hance, on 31 October 1876.¹ William Henry Drake died in 1913.¹

     Josias Janszen Drats was from Amsterdam when he married.^3,4 He married Altie Brouwer, daughter of Adam Brouwer and Magdalena Jacobs Verdon, on 30 April 1682 at Flatbush, NY, (DRC) (Josias Jansz Drats to Altje Browers.)^5,6,7,8,9 (Banns on 15 April 1682 at DRC, New York City. He was Josias Janszen Drats, jm from Amsterdam; she Aeltje Brouwers, jm from Gauwanes, tot N. Breuckelen.)^1,5,10,11 Josias Janszen Drats died in 1701 at Brooklyn, NY.^12,13,14

     He came to New Netherlands in 1661. He took the oath of allegiance in 1687 in Brooklyn, he had been in the country for 26 years.^15,16,5 His parents were Jan De Raedt Drake and Sybilla Everts (but see First Families.)^17,18
     Konight FGS has both Josias and Jannetje as children of Jan Dreeth; Jan does not have a son Joost or Josias in Amsterdam, although it would be logical if he had; James Turse has Josias' parents as Jan De Raedt Drake and Sybilla Everts, but that does not show up in the Amsterdam database.
     A John Dredge has a son Josias bp. in the English Presb. Church in Amsterdam on 13 Aug 1653 (Bk 137, p.91), lists no mother or witnesses. But this John has two other children (again without mother) Sara (07 Dec 1650) and John (11 Feb 1652) before the marriage with Grietje.
     A Sijbbel Everts has children with Dirck Tijmens between 1585-1594; and with Andries Andriesen between 1601 and 1614; a Sybrich Everts with Jacob Jacobsen between 1633 and 1646.^2,17,19 Name variation: Josias Jansze Drake.³ Name variation: Joseph Drake.¹⁷ Name variation: Josis Dietz.¹

He is Johannes Dreeth (or Dret), 23 y.o. parents dec'd; she is Grietje Plettenberg, 21 y.o., her father Joost Plettenburg is her witness. They come from the same place (Oldenburgh?) and are both liv. in the Angelierstreet.)¹ Jan Dreeth died before 1663.²

     Jan Dreeth and Grietie had three more children, no Josias or Joost:

     Nellie Dreisen immigrated in 1893.¹ Nellie Dreisen lived after 1906 at 328 Hobart Ave at Haledon, NJ, but before that she lived in Paterson.¹ The 1910 census lists Cornelius Poartfleet and Nellie at 349 Belmont Ave at Haledon Borough, Passaic County, NJ, with three children: Cornelius (17, b. NJ), John (12, b. Holland), Frank (11, b. Holland). He was a mason (contractor.)² The 1920 census lists Cornelius Poartfleet and Nellie at 112 Lee Ave at Haledon Borough, Passaic County, NJ, with their son Frank (21, b. Holland) and his wife Mary (18, b. NJ). Cornelius and Frank were both masons.³

     Derk Drenth was born on 13 February 1892 at Termunten, Groningen, The Netherlands.^2,1 He died on 17 October 1975 at Stroud Manor, East Stroudsburg, PA.³ He was buried in Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood.³

     Jan Harm Drenth was born in 1848 at Finsterwolde, Groningen, The Netherlands.^1,2 He married Stientje Spel on 4 October 1873 at Nieuwolda, Groningen, The Netherlands.^1,2

     Jan Harm Drenth and Stella Drenth immigrated on 2 March 1896 on the Spaarndam, from Rotterdam, arriving on 2 Mar 1896 in New York, with nine children: Jan (17), Aaltje (16), Anna (14), Stientje (11), Pieterke (9), Syfke (8), Reinkje (6), Derk (4), and Ernst (2). They were going to Hackettstown, NJ.² The 1900 census lists Jan Harm Drenth and Stella at (#184) at Hope Township, Warren County, NJ, with ten children: Tunis (May 1877), John Jr (Aug 1878), Annie (Nov 1991), Stella (Nov 1883), Pieterske (Feb 1886), Sypke (Mar 1888), Reintje (Mar 1890), Derk (Feb 1892), Ernest (Apr 1884), and Jennie (Dec 1896). All are born in Denmark, including John and Stella!³ John Jr lives next door, and a Derk and Grietje Spell live two houses further.⁴ The 1910 census lists Jan Harm Drenth and Stella at Great Meadows Road at Hope Township, Warren County, NJ, with eight children: Anna (28), Stella (26), Nellie (24), Syfko (22), Rientje (20), Derk S. (18), Ernst (16), and Jennie (14), all are born in Holland.⁵ His parents were Jan Drenth and Wopchien Jans Kuiper.¹ Name variation: John Drenth.⁶

     Stella Drenth was born on 13 November 1883 at Woldendorp, Termunten, Groningen, The Netherlands.^3,1 She married Alfred Riehl.¹ Stella Riehl died on 13 August 1937 at Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck, NJ.¹ She was buried in Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood.¹

     Louise May Droge was born on 22 June 1909.¹ She married Charles Albert Bogert, son of Charles Hamilton Bogert and Sarah Gamewel Heath, on 20 May 1930.¹ Louise May Droge died on 13 April 2005 at River Edge, Bergen County, NJ.¹

Names present wife Elizabeth Grevenraet; heirs: Jean Slade of London, widow of Anthony Slade; Isaac Steenwyck, son of Cornelius Steenwyck, mayor, whereof he is God father. Witnesses: Mr. Abraham Staats and Philip Peterse Strycker.³

     Marie du Cloux married Jesse de Forest, son of Jean de Forrest and Anne Maillard, on 23 September 1601 at Sedan, France.^1,2 Marie du Cloux died in 1622 at New York.³
