     Konight FGS has both Josias and Jannetje as children of Jan Dreeth; Jan does not have a son Joost or Josias in Amsterdam, although it would be logical if he had; James Turse has Josias' parents as Jan De Raedt Drake and Sybilla Everts, but that does not show up in the Amsterdam database.
     A John Dredge has a son Josias bp. in the English Presb. Church in Amsterdam on 13 Aug 1653 (Bk 137, p.91), lists no mother or witnesses. But this John has two other children (again without mother) Sara (07 Dec 1650) and John (11 Feb 1652) before the marriage with Grietje.
     A Sijbbel Everts has children with Dirck Tijmens between 1585-1594; and with Andries Andriesen between 1601 and 1614; a Sybrich Everts with Jacob Jacobsen between 1633 and 1646.2,17,19 Name variation: Josias Jansze Drake.3 Name variation: Joseph Drake.17 Name variation: Josis Dietz.1

He was a mason (contractor.)2 The 1920 census lists Cornelius Poartfleet and Nellie at 112 Lee Ave at Haledon Borough, Passaic County, NJ, with their son Frank (21, b. Holland) and his wife Mary (18, b. NJ). Cornelius and Frank were both masons.3
