     Jacob Lefferts and Jannetje had eight children:

8. Barent (of Bedford, b. 2 Nov 1736).^2,4 Jacob Lefferts made a will on 11 May 1768. It was proved 9 Dec 1768. He mentions his wife Jannetje, and all his children. Executors: his 4 sons. Witnesses, Bernardus Vandewater, Andries Andries, Simon Boerum.^2,5
     Early Settlers has a birth date of 9 Jun 1686; Konight has a baptism date of 24 May 1686, which is also in NYDC baptisms; this cannot both be right. Jacob is not listed in either Brooklyn or Flatbush DRC.^1,3,4 Name variation: Jacobus Lefferts.²

     Jan Lefferts was born on 14 January 1684 at Flatbush, NY.^1,2 He was baptized on 20 January 1684 at Brooklyn (DRC) (sp. Jacobus Aukessen and Femmitje Aukes; father Leffert Pietersen; mother Abigael Aukessen; also reg. in Flatbush on the same date: Jan, parents Leffard Peters and Abigail Aukes; sp. Jacobus Aukez V. Nuys and Femetie Aukez.)³ He married Margrietje, they had a daughter Margrietje, but no further trace.¹

     Magdalena Lefferts was baptized on 20 August 1694 (no place listed.)¹ She (1) married Garret Martense, son of Martin Adrianse and Sarah Remsen.¹ Magdalena Lefferts (2) married John Vanderbilt.¹

     Magdalena Lefferts and Garret had at least one more son (who died young, as he is not mentioned in the will): Marten (bp 11 Feb 1722 in Flatbush DRC, parents Garret Martense and Mag., sp. Marten Adrianse and Sara).³ Name variation: Magdalena Pieterse.⁴ Married name: Martense. Married name: Vanderbilt.

     Pieter Lefferts was born on 18 May 1680 at Flatbush, NY.^1,2 He married Eitie Suydam.¹

     Pieter Lefferts and Eitie had nine children:

9. Altie (not mentioned in Early Settlers).^3,2 Pieter Lefferts was named as executor in Garret Martense's will dated 23 March 1732.⁴ Pieter Lefferts made a will on 1 August 1755. It was proved 25 Jul 1774. He mentions his wife Eitie, his children, and grandson Barent. Executors: brother Abraham Lefferts, and sons Leffert, Jacob, and Jan. Leffert died before 1774.³

     Rachel Lefferts was born on 17 January 1682.² She was baptized on 20 January 1682 at Flatbush, NY, (DRC) (sp. Jan Steven V. V. and Eva Jans; father Leffard Peterz; mother Abigail Aukes.)¹ She married Jan Waldron.

     Margriet Leg was born on 27 January 1682 at Kingston, Ulster County, NY.¹ She (1) married Johannes Burhans, son of Jan Burhans and Helena Traphagen.¹ Margriet Leg (2) married Barent Van Benthuysen, son of Paulus Martense Van Benthuysen and Catharine Van Kleech, after 1732.²

     Willem Leg was baptized on 1 November 1713 at Kingston, NY.¹ He married Maria Burhans, daughter of Barent Burhans and Margriet Janse, on 7 December 1733 at Kingston, NY.¹

     Willem Leg made a will in 1743.¹

     William Leg was born on 26 August 1774.¹ He married Jannetie Burhans, daughter of Richard Burhans and Maria Langendyck, on 14 July 1798.¹ William Leg died on 10 February 1820.¹

     Annatje Legg was born on 26 December 1748.¹ She married Tjerick Schoonmaker, son of Tjerck Schoonmaker and Theodosia Whittaker.¹ Annatje Legg died on 14 February 1779.¹

     Charles F Leggitt was born in 1860 at New York.¹ He married Margaret G in 1886.¹

     The 1910 census lists Charles F Leggitt and Margaret G at Van Emburgh Ave (ED 48) at Ridgewood, NJ, with their son-in-law and daughter Cornelius E Banta and Jennie Banta, and Myrtle R. Banta (1, b. NJ) their granddaughter.¹ The 1920 census lists Charles F Leggitt and Margaret G at Van Emburgh Ave (ED 98) at Ridgewood, Bergen County, NJ, with their son-in-law and daughter Cornelius E Banta and Jennie Banta, and Myrtle R. Banta (11, b. NJ) their granddaughter.²

     Jennie Leggitt was born in 1889 at New York.¹ She married Cornelius Edward Banta, son of Cornelius C Banta and Elizabeth Lyons.²

     Anna Louise Lehman was born on 25 November 1870 at New York, NY.¹ She married William James Poole, son of Thomas Poole and Drusilla Parkinson. Anna Louise Lehman died on 4 April 1950 at Union City, NJ.¹

     Dorothea Caroline Lehmann was born on 1 February 1810 at Falkenburg, Germany.¹ She married Johann Joseph Haase, son of Johann Daniel Haase and Anna Rosina Wimmer, on 28 January 1834 at Falkenburg. Dorothea Caroline Lehmann died on 23 November 1890 at Berlin, Germany.¹

     Frederich Lehman was born on 13 September 1746 at Lancaster County, PA.¹ He married Anna Habaker, daughter of Jacob Habaker and Anna Erisman, circa 1776 at PA.¹ Frederich Lehman died 23-26 Feb 1813 at Windsor Twp, York County, PA.¹

     Johanna Else Katchen Lehmann was born on 5 December 1914 at Berlin, Germany.¹ She married Gerhard Gustav Radicke, son of Paul August Alexi Alexander Radicke and Amalie Auguste Marie Richter, on 1 April 1939 at Essen, Germany, (Rellinghausen.)¹

     Joseph M Lehman was born in 1834 at Germany.¹ He married Louisa Erbe, daughter of Gustave Erbe. Joseph M Lehman died on 20 June 1903 at Jersey City, NJ.¹

     Robert Fritz Karl Lehmann was born on 21 September 1891 at Berlin, Germany.¹ He married Marie Auguste Muller, daughter of Johann Freidrich Muller and Caroline Wilhelmina Schulz, on 15 August 1913 at Berlin.¹ Robert Fritz Karl Lehmann died on 17 April 1973 at Berlin.¹

     Friederike Lehmann was born on 24 May 1781 at Friedrichof, Germany.¹ She married Gottfried Johann Richter on 30 April 1809 at Baruto, Germany.
