Theodosia Bartow was born on 2 November 1746 at Shrewsbury, Monmouth County, NJ.1,2 She (1) married Col. James Prevost, d. 1781, circa 1763 at New York, NY, (Trinity Church.)1 She (2) married Aaron Burr, Jr.1 She died on 18 May 1794 at Manhattan, NY.2 She was buried in St. John's Burying Ground in West Village.2
Theodosia Bartow had two children with James Prevost: 1. Frederick, who became a farmer in Westchester, and then moved to Illinois; and 2. John, who was apointed chief judge in Louisiana, and then was US envoy to Peru. He died in the Andes. He had two daughters, Frances, who married in Kentucky, and Theodosia, who lived in Englewood, NJ and never married. He also had two sons: James, who died enroute to South America, and Stanhope, whi married in Lima, and lived there with his Peruvian wife and six children.1 She had one daughter with Aaron Burr, Jr: Theodosia, b. 21 Jun 1783 in Albany, NY, d. c. Jan 1813. She married on 2 Feb 1801 Joseph Alston, who owned a large southern plantation and became governor of South Carolina. She died on a sea voyage from South Carolina to NY on the schooner Patriot to visit her father.1 Married name: Prevost. Married name: Burr.

Bastiaen was captured in the West Indies; and was manumitted in New Amsterdam on 21 Aug 1654. He received a patent on 26 Mar 1647. When he died, this land reverted to the Stuyvesant family, but Judith Stuyvesant, Peter's widow, transferred 3 acres to Franciscus by deed on 24 Sep 1674. Sometime before 24 Jun 1746 this land again reverted to the Stuyvesant family. Francisco was issued a grant of his own o York Island on 4 Sep 1686.6 Name variation: Frans Bastiaens Van Angola.6
