Family

Sophia Jansen d. Dec 1715
In 1658 he was given power of attorney from Peter Jansen van Stockholm at Ft. Orange or Beverwyck to collect debts. In 1667 he was functioning as an attorney in New Amsterdam. He must have been adult in 1658, which would make his birth before 1638.5,6 Simon Jansen Romeyn made a will on 3 October 1702. It was proved 11 Nov 1702. He was Symon Jansen Romeyn, of the city of New York, Gentleman. Names wife Sophia Romeyn to be executor. Witnesses: Johanes Viell, Johanes Van Vorst, and Jan Jansen.4
The website stresses that it is not possible to say whether Simon on the one hand and Claes and Christoffel on the other hand are siblings. Clearly, they are all sons of a Jan, but that is the extent of it.
Considering that in his will he does not leave anything to relations on his side, it does not seem likely, they were brothers.6,7,4
