     Cornelis Aertsen Van Schaick was born circa 1610 at Westbroek, Utrecht, The Netherlands, (30 yr at banns.)1,2 He married Belitje Hendrickse, daughter of Hendrik Rycken and Hendrickje Van Reemst, on 1 July 1640 at Sloterdijk.3,4,5,2 (Banns on 16 June 1640 at Amsterdam.)3,2 Cornelis Aertsen Van Schaick died circa 1669 at New York.1

     Gozen Gerritse, Cornelis Aertsen and Claes were the progenitors of the American Van Schaicks. Cornelis came to New Netherland in 1636.6
     Cornelis and Belitje came to New Netherland in 1640, after their marriage.3
     Both marry Belitje Hendricks; and Konight has Cornelis Van Schaick married (2) to Weyntie Elberts; is this the same person? Konight has no son Peter Van Schaick; BC-Families has the children Hendrickje, Hendrick and Elisabeth with the same bp.dates under Cornelis Aertsen Bryant and Cornelis Aertsen Van Schaick.
     Konight has a note: Is Belitje sister to Geertje Hendriks, wife of Andries Hopper? And she refers to Gen. Mag. of NJ Vol. 44 (Jan 1969), article by G.O. Zabriskie.5,7
