Barent Wemple and Margrietje had two children: Myndert (bp. 16 Nov 1755) and Douw (bp. 11 Dec 1757).¹
He was a fur dealer and met his death at the hands of the Indians. His widow Margaret kept a public house at Caughnawaga. Her house was burned by Johnson's Indians on 22 May 1780, and her son Mina (Myndert) was made prisoner, but released at Johnstown.¹

     It is likely that there is a mix-up in these records. The Wemple File had Volkje married to Barent H. Vrooman, Jacob A Glenn, and Johannes S Vrooman.
     The Schenectady website has Volkje, daughter of Jan Barentsen Wemple marry both Barent H. Vrooman and Jacob A Glenn. She died in 1749.
     The Vrooman/Vroman Family: Descendants of Bartholomeus Vrooman on Genealogy.com has Barent H Vrooman married to a Volkje Wemple, daughter of Myndert Wemple and Alida Wanderlaer. Both Barent and Volkje died after 1768
