     Edward and Margaret were in a non-marital relationship. An online tree has Margaret's surname as Kolenut and father unknown; Edward later married Mary Carrigan.^1,2,3 His parents were Adam Kolenut and Mary S. Mansmann. Adam was b. Germany, emigr. 1894, d. 1910-1915; Mary was b. NY, d. after 1918. However, this makes little sense, as Edward was b. 1877 in NJ.^1,4

     Jacob Kolf married Jannetie Jans Springsteen, daughter of Johannes Casperszen and Maria Johannes Theunis, on 1 June 1684 at Flatbush, NY, (DRC) (Jacob Kolf to Janetje Johanes.)^1,2 Jacob Kolf died before November 1695.³

     He was listed in the 1686 NYDC member list as "Jacob Kolve" (member #205, name #262.)⁴ His parents were Jan Kolf and Sara Haselbroek.⁵
     Anthony Colve was the last Dutch Director of New Netherlands from 19 Sep 1673 to 10 Nov 1674. He had two daughters and a son Jacob; but there probably is no relation.⁶ Name variation: Jacob Colve.⁵

     Conrad Konnight was born circa 1755.² He (1) married Margrietje.¹ Conrad Konnight (2) married Agnes Carlough on 22 April 1807.¹ Conrad Konnight died on 23 July 1829.²

     Conrad Konnight made a will on 5 January 1827. It was filed in Hackensack, and proved 24 Aug 1829. He was Conrad Konnight, of Franklin Twp, Bergen Co. Names wife Agnes; son Peter, and grandson Martin, son of dec'd son Martin. Executors: son Peter Konnight and friend Adolf Shurte. Witnesses: Abraham Forshee and John Mandigo.³

     Deborah Konight was born on 14 May 1828.^1,3 She married Martin Konnight on 9 March 1844 at Saddle River, NJ, (Zion Lutheran Church.)^4,2 Deborah Konight died in 1910.⁵ She was buried in Community Cemetery in Monroe.⁶

     George Sheffield Konight was born on 19 December 1890 at Ramsey, Bergen County, NJ.¹ He married Mamie Van Wyck, daughter of Maarten Paulusz Van Wyck and Klaartje Lokker, on 2 April 1918 at Passaic, Passaic County, NJ.^1,2 George Sheffield Konight died on 16 December 1955 at Veterans Hospital, Bronx, NY.¹ He was buried in Fair Lawn Cemetery in Fair Lawn.¹

     George Sheffield Konight and Mamie had three more children: George, Kenneth, and Katherine.⁴
