Jansz Clopper of the second part, enter into the following agreement: Jan Jansz, aforesaid, hires himself out to Corn. Jansz Clopper, for three consecutive years, for the purpose of learning the trade of blacksmith. During his apprenticeship said Clopper is to provide said Jan Jansz with board, lodging and clothing, and at the end of the three years provide him with a decent outfit of clothing and pay him the amount of 130 Carolus guilders.4 Cornelis Jansen Clopper was a Master Smith.3 He and Heyltje Pieters made a will on 10 September 1669. Letters of Administration were granted to Heyltje Clopper on 24 Jun 1693. They mention their minor children Dina, Margaretta, Johannah, Catharina, and Petrenella.3
