     Peter and Janneke are listed in the NYDC member list of 1686 as "Pieter van der Groef and his wife Janneken Van Borsum" (member #162-3, name #203-4.)7,8 He made a will on 8 June 1696. It was proved 29 May 1704. He mentions his wife Janeke Adolph; children Adolph (eldest), Egbert, Agie, and Peter. Executors: Abraham Abrahamsen, Andries Abrahamsen, Timon Van Borsum, and Cornelius Vielie.9,10 He was named as executor in Tyman Van Borsum's will dated 22 July 1702.11
     NOTE: There seems to be some confusion about his birth place: he is baptized 1657 in NYC (father van der Groest, mother Aefje Dircks); he married as Pieter Adolphszen (without surname) jm van Amsterdam.4,5,1 Name variation: Peter Adolph De Groot.10 Name variation: Pieter De Groef.2 Name variation: Pieter Adolphszen Van der Graeft.4 Name variation: Pieter Adolfszen Van der Groeft.4
