James A Conklin b. 19 Oct 1824, d. 23 Aug 1889
     Charlotte Knapp and James had two children:
1. Mary G., b. c. 1851 (1860 census)
2. Sarah E., b.c. 1861 (1870 census).2
     Hiram Phillips filed a complaint for partition of the Homestead Farm of his parents, after the death of his brother Nelson, who died unmarried in Feb 1889. Hiram is entitled to 1/5 interest. Four other siblings must have left offspring by that time
1. Sarah's nine surviving children Hiram Knapp, George Knapp, Mary Ann Waldron, Charlotte Conklin, Abigail Springsteen, Eveline Sarah Disbrow, Margaret Belding and William Knapp receive a 1/45th interest
2. Daniel's three surviving children, John D Phillips, Samuel Phillips and Hannah Phillips, receive 1/25th interest; and four surviving grandchildren (two each of Sarah Abrams and Richard Phillips) receive 1/50th
3. Catherine's six surviving children Nelson March, George March, Charlotte Babcock, Catherine King, Caroline Holt and Elmira Gurnee, and Hannah Thompson, received 1/35th. It is unclear, who Hannah Thompson is.3 Married name: Conklin.

     Daniel Knapp married Susanna.2 He died before 5 August 1772.1
     Daniel Knapp had two sons, Daniel and Benjamin.2 He made a will on 28 September 1771. LofA dated 9 May 1774. He was Daniel Knapp, yeoman of Haverstraw Precinct. Mentions wife Susanna; sons Daniel and Benjamin. Executors: brother-in-law Abraham Thew and Jeremiah Williamson.2

David Knapp1

M, b. circa 1788, d. 27 February 1861
     David Knapp was born circa 1788.2 He married Phebe A Goetschius, daughter of Abraham Goetchius and Rachel Hoagland, on 29 March 1817.1 David Knapp died on 27 February 1861.1 He was buried in Clarkstown.1
