The 1850 census lists Jesse Moore Taylor at Upper Makefield, Bucks County, PA, with/or visiting the John Johnson family. He may have been a laborer or just a friend. He was 14 years old. Just 3 houses away (image 33, fam. 221) was another Taylor family: Mary Taylor (age 76), Sara Anne Taylor (age 42, but Jesse's mother was born in 1819), and Elizabeth Meehan (age 16). There were no occupations mentioned in this house, which makes me think Jesse was the breadwinner of this family.1,3 The 1860 census lists Jesse Moore Taylor at Upper Makefield, PA, with Martha Taylor (50). He is a harness maker journey(man).4 The 1870 census lists Jesse Moore Taylor and Kathrine at Newtown, Bucks County, PA, with their one year old child Martha.1,5 Jesse Moore Taylor and Kathrine lived between 1871 and 1879 at 328 Maple at Reading Twp, PA, The children born in Reading are: Benjamine, Ida Dorothy, Jennie, and William.1 Jesse Moore Taylor was a harness maker. In 1869 he took over the harness making business of JJ Kents, who is believed to be his father-in-law.1
In 1880 they moved to Barrett, Monroe County, PA. The children born there were Joseph Watson and May. In 1889 they moved to Carbondale, Lakawanna County, PA. Children born there: Hellen and Jesse Jr.1 Jesse Moore Taylor lived after 1915 at Buffalo, NY, where they lived until their deaths. Joseph, Me, Helen and Jesse moved with them; only Jesse married in Buffalo, the other remained single.1 The 1920 census lists Jesse Moore Taylor and Kathrine at 152 West Ave at Buffalo, Erie County, NY.6

He served in the US Navy as chief petty officer, first class, radar in WW2.1 Roy was on the USS Dade in the Pacific Ocean during the war.
Roy Thomas Mckeon was a very cute baby as were all of Irene and Arthur's children, but there was something special about Roy that attracted all the girls to him like a magnet, Maybe it was his dimples or his mannerisms. But this did not affect Roy. I can remember him in high school when all the girls would want to be my friends just to get a glimpse of Roy. He was dapper and a charmer. He joined the Navy when Pearl Harbor was bombed on Dec 7,1940 and when he came home on leave he would bring a few sailors home with him. One day all five sailors and I went to the bowling alley. On the way I saw one of my friends. When she saw me with five sailors including my brother Roy walking past her she just stood there and gasped. I motioned to her to join us and she was so happy that she could join us but half way to the bowling alley she remembered that she forgot to tell her mother. She went back to her house but never came back to join us. At school I asked her why she didn't come back. She said she got so excited that she told her mother she was going bowling with five sailors and her mother would not let her go. I said 'next time just tell her your going with me.'
When I see her at High School Reunions she always asked, 'how is your brother Roy'. Never the other brothers who I thought were just as cute.

One day Roy had a new girl friend who lived up the street. She was an actress who appeared on the Broadway stage in the play Glass Menagerie.
He was friends with her for a few years until she told him she was getting married but not to him. It turned out that she met Gene Kelley and fell in love with him. Roy was devastated, no girl had ever dropped him.

Roy married a girl named Marge Wagner, who worked as a waitress in the New Walters Hotel which my parents owned in Cairo, NY. They had two children, Irene and Benjamine, plus her son from a former marriage named Joseph. Roy adopted Joseph and changed his name to Roy. Roy was a bartender in Detroit Michigan.

Roy divorced Marge after the tragic death of his adopted son Roy in a motorboat accident and moved to Houston.

In 1991 he married Erma Davis who was a divorcee. They lived in Huston, Texas and moved to Crystal Beach, Texas in the Galveston Area on Port Boliver Peninsula.

Roy died December 5, 2002
He will be missed by all his friends and relatives. May he rest in peace.1 Name variation: Leroy Thomas Mckeon.1

      Text on filecard
Mary Taylor (dec'd) died 2 May 1883 at Ridgefield Park, NJ, leaving niece Mary L Beck wife of Andrew Beck, and nephews Thomas M Brewster, Horatio Brewster and Charles Brewster.1
It seems likely that Mary is a sister of ? Brewster's wife, or she is a Brewster, who married a Taylor. but considering her niece and nephews are her heirs, it seems likely she was unmarried.
