On 10 Aug 1670 he returned to Holland in the ship "Fort of Albany," and on 15 May 1671 , a pass was given to Jacomynchy, his wife, and her three children, in the ship "Duke of York,” to go to Holland. He and his wife kept house at Zwolle; but they returned in 1679 in the ship the "Charles." On his return he finally settled on a plantation or farm, located partly in the towns of New Utrecht and Flat bush.
     Jacomintie originally came to New Netherland on 31 Aug 1662 on the 'Fox' (Jacomijntie Jacobs, daughter of Jacob Swart.)1,4,5 Gerrit Cornelis Van Duyn made a will on 30 June 1705. It was proved 14 Jun 1706. He was Garitt Van Duyn, of New Utrecht in Kings County. Names wife Jackominie; son Cornelius Van Duyn; son Denyse; daughter Ashe and her children; son Abraham. Son Cornelis to be executor. Witnesses: Henry Filkin, Peter Cortelyou, and Jan Van der Beck.3,6

     There are some problems here: BC-Families has in Martin's father Abraham's entry that Martin married (1) Maria Themout,but did not give a second marriage; under his own entry Martin's wife is named Anna Maria DeMuth, also no second marriage. Daughter Catrina is listed with a marriage in her father's entry, and as unconnected with her marriage.2 Name variation: Matthew Martens Van Duyne.3
