NOTE: Poppe and BC-Families have Jan Lubberts (Westervelt) b. c. 1656 in Meppel (son of Lubbert Lubbertsen Westervelt), m. Magdaleentje Van Blarcom. This seems to me a mix-up with Jan Lubbertsen Van Blarcom, who married Magdaleentje Theunis in 1659 (NYDC). Jan does not seem to be in the passenger list of the "Hope" with Lubbert (at least there is no 6 y. old listed); and there is no marriage in NYDC for Jan and Magdaleentje van Blarcom.8,9,10 Name variation: Jan Lubbertse Van Westervelt.9,7 Name variation: Jan Lubbertse Van Blarcom.1,11,5
