     Elizabeth Larkin was born in 1824 at Ireland.¹ She married Edward Callanan, son of John Callanan and Mary Staunton, on 14 September 1851 (New York, NY.)¹ Elizabeth Larkin died on 22 January 1900 at New York, NY.¹ She was buried in Calvary Cemetery in Woodside.¹

     Elizabeth Larkin immigrated circa 1848. From Famine Immigrants v.2: Arr. 14 June 1848 on the Courier in NYC from Liverpool, ELiza Larkin (spinster, age 24), Michael Larkin (30, Laborer) and Mgt. (Margaret) Larkin (12, spinster). According to her Death Certificate #2381, she came to US in 1849.² Edward Callanan and Elizabeth lived at 433 East 72nd Street at New York City (where the Cornell Medical Center is now.)¹
     On April 15, 1887 she purchased 16 graves in Plot 202, Section 9 at Calvary Cemetary. By this time she had already lost her first son Edward in infancy, her only daughter Mary had died in 1865 at the age of 6, and her husband had drowned in the East River near their home in 1879. The latter two were reburied in Plot 202, which cost $800.00 at the time. The plot, marked only CALLANAN, by 1986 contained many members of the Callanan and Lavelle families. (See Calvary Cemetery.)¹ Her parents were Thomas Larkin and Elizabeth. Both were born in Ireland.¹ Married name: Callanan.

     Catharine Larmour was born in 1814 at New Jersey (but 34 in 1850, 40 in 1860.)^2,3,4 She married John L Westervelt on 21 May 1831 at Bergen County, NJ.^1,5 Catharine Larmour died on 27 January 1883 at Harlem, NY.⁶ She was buried in NY Cemetery (Maple Grove) in Hackensack.²

     The 1850 census lists John L Westervelt and Catharine at New York City (ward 9), with Ann Westervelt, Belinda D Westervelt and Elizabeth Westervelt (18, 8, 6, all b. NJ.)⁴ Catharine Larmour was a seamstress.³ The 1860 census lists John L Westervelt and Catharine at New Barbadoes Township, Bergen County, NJ, with Elizabeth Westervelt (15, b. NJ.)³

     Catharine Westervelt died 27 Jan 1883 at Herlem, NY, (Lodi Township), leaving 2 children: Belinda D wife of John H. Berdan of Corona, NJ, and Elizabeth wife of Samuel C. Ostrander of N. Bank Street, NY, and 2 grandchildren: Euphemia W wife of Abner H. Wilson, and Sarah C Bogert of 6th Ave and 135 Street, NY (They are probably the children of daughter Ann.)⁶ Name variation: Westervelt.⁶

     Cathrina Laroe was baptized on 13 January 1725 at New York City (DRC.)¹ She married Thomas Ludlow.¹

     Her parents were Charles Le Roux and Catharina Beekman.¹ Married name: Ludlow.

     Elizabeth LaRoe married Johannis Christie, son of David Christie and Wybregh Van Orden.¹

     John Seeger Laroe was born on 25 February 1907 at Sugar Loaf, Orange County, NY.¹ He married Augusta Minturn Holbert, daughter of Othniel Coe Holbert II and Laura Agnes Gay, on 28 September 1928 at Sugar Loaf, NY. John Seeger Laroe died on 7 July 1964 at Sugar Loaf, NY. He was buried on 10 July 1964 in Sugar Loaf.

     Margrietje Laroe was baptized on 8 February 1719 at Hackensack, NJ, (DRC.)^2,1 She (1) married Jonathan Traphagen on 5 December 1734.² She (2) married William Jenkins on 1 July 1745 at Pompton Plains, NJ, (DRC.)²
