John Delamater was baptized on 16 January 1687 at New York City (DRC) (sponsors: Arent Hermanszen and Ruthje Waldron; father Isaac de Lamaistre, mother Cornelia Evertszen.)2,3,4 He married Anneke Waldron, daughter of Johannes Waldron and Anneken Van Dalsen, on 11 June 1714.1,2 (Banns on 14 May 1714 at DRC, New York City. He was Jan de Lameetere, jm from N. Haarlem; she Anneke Waldron jd from Haarlem, both liv. there.)5 John Delamater died in 1743.2

John Delamater and Anneke had 10 children.6 John Delamater made a will on 22 December 1736 at New York. It was proved 24 Mar 1743. He was Johanes De Lamater, of Harlem, in the out ward of New York. Names children: Annake, Cornelia, Susanah, Margaretta, Rebecca, John (Johannes, eldest son), Isaac, Hester, and Sarah. Executors: brother Abraham De Lamater, father-in-law Johanes Waldron, and my son-in-law, Samuel Waldron. Witnesses: Adolph Myer, Adolph Bensing, and W. De Myer.7,2,8 Name variation: Jan de Lamaistre.4 Name variation: Johannes Delamater.2
