     Cornelis Van Wyck was born in 1641 at The Netherlands.² He married Annetje Polhemus, daughter of Rev. Johannes Theodorus Polhemius and Catharina Van der Werven. Cornelis Van Wyck died in 1731.²

     He came to New Netherland in 1660, and lived in Brooklyn.^2,1 Cornelis Van Wyck and Annetje lived at Brooklyn.¹ His parents were Barent Danielszen (VanWyck) and Anneken Cornelis.² Name variation: Cornelis Barents Van Wyck.³

     Hannah Van Wyck married Cornelius Depuy Westbrook, son of Frederick Westbrook and Sarah DePuy.¹

     Marten emigrated and arrived at Castle Garden 13 Apr 1864 in the ship 'Plymouth Rock' with his parents and siblings.¹

     Theodorus Van Wyck was named as executor in Gerrit Couwenhoven's will dated 16 April 1711.³

     Isaac Henry Van Zant was born on 22 January 1843 at New Barbadoes, NJ.¹ He married Frances Matilda Bogert on 20 April 1864.¹ Isaac Henry Van Zant died on 24 May 1915 at Soldier's Home, Bath, NY.¹

     Jacobus Van Zandt was baptized on 11 September 1726 at New York City (DRC.)¹

     Johanna Van Zandt was baptized on 20 August 1729 at New York City (DRC.)¹

     Johanna Van Zandt was born between 1761 and 1762.¹ She married Jedeidiah Waterman.¹ Johanna Van Zandt died on 1 December 1798 at New York City.¹ She was buried in Glastonbury.¹

     Levi Van Zant was born on 27 June 1836.^1,2 He married Frances M Outwater in 1858.^3,2,4 Levi Van Zant died on 24 May 1904 at Manhattan, NY.^5,1,2 He was buried on 28 May 1904 in NY Cemetery (Maple Grove) in Hackensack, Plot 320-A.^1,2

     Levi Van Zant was a private in Comp. C, 22nd Regiment, NJ Infantry, in the Civil War. In 1890 he was living in Hackensack.^1,6,7,8 The 1880 census lists Levi Van Zandt and Frances M, with two children, both b. NJ: Annie (20) and Frederick (13.)⁹ The 1900 census lists Levi Van Zant and Frances M at Lark Street at Hackensack (Ward 3), Bergen County, NJ, they were married 42 years. He was b. Jun 1835 in NJ, a watchman; she was b. Sep 1840 in NJ, 7 children, 3 living.³
     The children living in 1900 were probably Newton (1862-1839, d. in Blooming Grove, PA, buried in NY Cemetery with his parents, married Melissa (Lizzie) Winters on 2 Nov 1887), Annie (married Henry Stagg on 21 Feb 1883), and Frederick (married Alida C. Earle on 20 Jul 1893).
Annie and Frederick are both in the 1880 census with the parents; Newton and Frederick are with the parents in 1885. In 1900 Frederick Van Zant and wife Alida, and Henry Stagg and wife Annie are living at Central Ave, Hackensack (Ward 3) next door to each other.
Robert Lee Van Zandt is born 28 Nov 1867 in Bergen County (Moonachey), parents are Levi Van Zandt and Francis Van Zandt. This would correspond with the age of Frederick in the 1880 (13) and 1900 (Nov 1867) census.^{10,11,12,9,13,14,15}
     On 26 May 1904 an article appeared in the Hackensack Republican, that Levi was found dead in NYC on 23 May. Later (on 23 Jun) it was reported that he had died of natural causes.^16,17
     Acc. to Bergen Families Van Saun File, Levi is a son of Henry J. Van Saun and Ruth Fredericks. This informaton comes from the Van Zandt Society Website .
