McIntire has place of birth as Scofield, MI; this is not found on present day maps, but there is a Scofield Road in Exeter, MI. Exeter and Boyne City are about four hours apart. While he later lived in Boyne City, it seems likely he was born near Exeter.^2,7,3 Peter Francis McIntire was in 1880 a farmer at Exeter, Monroe County, MI.⁸ Peter Francis McIntire lived at Boyne City, MI.⁷ The 1900 census lists Peter Francis McIntire and Adeline at Evangeline (Boyne City Village), Charlevoix County, MI, with Jennie C McIntire. He was a hardware merchant.⁵ Peter Francis McIntire was a large real estate owner and a director of the First National Bank. He was a member of the school board for many years at Boyne City, MI.⁶ The 1910 census lists Peter Francis McIntire and Adeline at Boyne, Charlevoix County, MI, with Jennie C McIntire. He was living on his own income.⁹ Peter Francis McIntire was a member of the Methopdist-Episcopal Church and one of its largest supporters.⁶

Duncan was born in Dull, Perthshire, Scotland. He was a blockprinter by trade and died of bronchitis with cardiac debility. He also had apoplexy with left hemiplegia as certified by Joseph Horne, M.B.CMS. The informant was Malcolm McKenzie, son, at 118 Drummond Place, Milngavie, Dumbartonshire, Scotland
At the time of his death Duncan was living at 63 Abington Street, Glasgow.
This was recorded for the 1897 Death Register by William L.Campbell, Assisstant Registrar in the District of Kelvin, Burgh of Glasgow. Reg. 644/9 page 202, entry #605 (found in the New Register House, Edinburgh, Scotland.) According to the cemetery records of the New Kilpatrick Parish Cemetery, the last known residence of David McKenzie was 70 S. Clawes Street, Broughton, Manchester, England. His wife is buried in the same lair as his mother, Catherine Maxwell.¹
