     Mary Sohier was born in 1623 at Nieppe, Hainault, France.^3,4 She married David Desmarets, son of Jean Desmarets and Marguerite De Herville, on 24 July 1643 at Middelburg, Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands, (French Church.)^1,3,5,6,2 Mary Sohier died after 3 October 1681 at New Bridge (Kinderkamack), NJ, (or 1677.)^4,7,8,9

     David came to New Netherland on board the ship "De Bonte Koe" with wife and four children (aged 18, 11, 6 and 1). The ship sailed from Amsterdam 16 April 1663, arrived in New Amsterdam between 11 May 1663 and 17 August 1663.^6,10,11,12
     NOTE: The data for her date of death are inconsistent. On the one hand she is supposed to be the first person to be buried in the French Burial Ground in New Milford, NJ, in 1677, on the other hand she is supposed to have died on 3 Oct 1681. She is still a sponsor at a baptism on 3 Oct 1681 (unless it was just ceremonial.)^{13,14,15,16,17,9} Name variation: Maria Sohiere.⁴ Name variation: Marie Sohier.¹ Married name: Desmarets.

     Andrew Sokoly was born on 12 February 1882 at Rakos, Hungary.¹ He married Mary Zahar, daughter of John Zahar and Mary Agnes Kutney, on 23 November 1904 at Barnesboro, Cambria County, PA. Andrew Sokoly died on 12 November 1977 at Ridgewood, Bergen County, NJ.¹

     George Soule was born from 1593 to 1600 at Worcestershire at England (He was of Eckington.) He married Mary Becket circa 1622 at Duxbury, Plymouth County, MA. George Soule died on 22 January 1678/79 at Duxbury, MA.

     George SOULE sailed on the Mayflower, 1620, was a signer of the Mayflower Compact. He came as a servant to Edward Winslow, Governor of the Plymouth Colony and was assigned (granted ) a small plot of land in Plymouth 1623. In 1637 was a soldier in the Pequot Indian War. In 1638 he moved to Duxbury, Mass with Myles Standish. Was Representative to the General Court 1650 /1 to 1653/4 from Duxbury, Mass. 1643 land owner, proprietor of Bridgewater, Mass which spun off from Duxbury. He was also an early land purchasor in Dartmouth and Middleboro, Mass. "Mayflower Families through five Generations" states : The tentative dates for his birth are based on his signing of the Mayflower Compact in 1620 and his death in 1679. As a signer of the Compact he must have been twenty, the known age of Gilbert Winslow.^1,2
     George (son of George Soule) and Deborah Soule had Mary b. abt 1681; she m. Joseph Davol (d. 1726), they had Hannah Davol b. 4 Apr 1707; she m. Thomas Mosher b. 26 Feb 1699 d. 1776, they had a dau Elizabeth Mosher b. 13 Apr 1735; she m. John WEBSTER Jr. son of John and Sarah (KENYON) WEBSTER Sr.
     "Mayflower Families Through Five Generations" states: George lived in Plymouth, Duxbury and Dartmouth where his children were born and raised. His will dated Dartmouth 29 March 1697, proved 30 June 1704, bequeaths to then eldest son William, son John, son Nathan, daughter Deborah, Daughters Mary, Lydia and Sarah when they reach eighteen; well-beloved wife Deborah and son William to execute the estate. The widow Deborah repudiated the will on "ye 22 day of ye 4th month 1704". His granddaughter Mary Coggeshall, daughter of son George, contested his will and was awarded (1719) a share representing her father's rights.²

     John Soule was born in 1632 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, MA. He died before 14 November 1707 at Duxbury, Plymouth County, MA.

     "Mayflower Families Through Five Generations" states: In a deposition date 8 March 1705/6, John Soulde swore he was "about seventy foure years" of age. In a deed, dated 30 Dec. 1674, Moses Simmons in "consideration of a marriage heretofore consummated between John Soul of Duxbury and my eldest daughter, Rebecca" gave to John land in Middleboro. John SOULE died intestate and Esther Soul, widow, was appointed to administer his estate 14 N ov 1707. His three daughters of their heirs proposed division of the residuary real estate amongt them since their father "in his lifetime settled all his sons portions in land by de ed", and they, the daughters, received but one cow. The settlement was signed by John and Rachel Cobb, Edmond and Rebecca Eston and Adam Wright on behalf of his children born to his wife, Sarah deceased. G.E. Bowman (MD 8:184ff) identifies all the sons of John and abstracts the deeds of gift to these sons.²

     Joseph Souther was born on 27 February 1685/86 at Boston, MA.¹ He married Content Tower, daughter of Ibrook Tower and Margaret Hardin, on 22 April 1708 at Hingham, MA.¹ Joseph Souther died on 22 July 1740 at Hingham, MA.¹
