John Soule was born in 1632 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, MA. He died before 14 November 1707 at Duxbury, Plymouth County, MA.
"Mayflower Families Through Five Generations" states: In a deposition date 8 March 1705/6, John Soulde swore he was "about seventy foure years" of age. In a deed, dated 30 Dec. 1674, Moses Simmons in "consideration of a marriage heretofore consummated between John Soul of Duxbury and my eldest daughter, Rebecca" gave to John land in Middleboro. John SOULE died intestate and Esther Soul, widow, was appointed to administer his estate 14 N ov 1707. His three daughters of their heirs proposed division of the residuary real estate amongt them since their father "in his lifetime settled all his sons portions in land by de ed", and they, the daughters, received but one cow. The settlement was signed by John and Rachel Cobb, Edmond and Rebecca Eston and Adam Wright on behalf of his children born to his wife, Sarah deceased. G.E. Bowman (MD 8:184ff) identifies all the sons of John and abstracts the deeds of gift to these sons.2
