     William Phillips was born in 1835.^1,2 He (1) married Catherine Ann Knapp, daughter of David Knapp and Phebe A Goetschius.^1,3 William Phillips (2) married Mary Goodwin on 4 August 1881.³ William Phillips died in 1910.² He was buried in Mt. Repose Cemetery in Haverstraw.^1,2

     William Phillips and Catherine had three more children:
1. William Ryan, b. 26 Jan 1856; d. bef. 4 Dec 1885
2. Gilbert Knapp, b. 26 Jul 1857; d. 30 Jul 1857
3. Isaiah G., b. 27 Feb 1859; d. 4 Oct 1859.⁴ William Phillips and Mary had two children: William M., b. 4 Dec 1885; and Maude, b. 23 Aug 1887.³ His parents were Gilbert Phillips and Mary.³

     William Phillips was born circa 1829.³ He married Maria Essex.⁴

     William Phillips and Maria had five children, acc. to Konight. However the only one in the census (1855-1870) with William and Maria is Selena Emma (b. c. 1853; 2 in 1855, 17 in 1870). No source given for the other four: James, Henry, Mary Ann, Ellen Marie, and George.^5,6

     Winona Phillips was born on 29 September 1860.¹ She married Byzant Aquive.¹

     Hannah Phinney was born on 28 March 1687 at Barnstable, Barnstable County, MA.¹ She was baptized on 7 April 1687.¹ She died on 10 February 1688/89 at Barnstable, MA.¹

     Jeffrey Phinney was born in 1532 at Lenton Parish, Nottinghamshire, England.¹ He married Ellen Smedley in 1560.¹ Jeffrey Phinney died on 21 July 1586 at Lenton, Nottinghamshire, England.¹

     Jeffrey Phinney and Ellen had one more (unnamed) daughter, b. 1566 in Lenton, Nottinghamshire, England. Isabella and Sicilye were also born and buried there.¹

     Lovyse Pia was baptized on 29 July 1640 at New York City (DRC) (sponsors: Jorgien Roelofs (sergt.), Ederine Cunelys, and Janneken Thomas; father Pieter Pye, mother not listed.)^2,3

     She probably died young, she is not on the passenger list of the Moesman, and there seems to be no trace of here in Amsterdam.¹

     Pieter Pia was born circa 1604 at Laulanoy, Picardy, France.^1,2 He (1) married Maria Petit.^1,2 Pieter Pia (2) married Annetie Pieters on 26 March 1645 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands, (Walloon Church.)³ (Banns on 11 March 1645. He was Piter Pia, van Laulanoy, Picardy, wid. of Marie Petit, liv. at the Cingel; she Annitie Pieters, 31 y.o, from Rotterdam; her witness was her sister Marretie Pieters.)³

     Pierre was in New Amsterdam before 1639 (when he was a witness on Aug 11). On 23 Nov 1642 he declares to be 38 y.o; and he is living in New Amsterdam in 1644. He returned to Amsterdam, and became a member of the Walloon church on 4 Mar 1645; and married his second wife, Anne Pierre, on 26 Mar 1645. They returned to New Amsterdam on the "Moesman," which left Holland on 25 Apr 1659. He was Pieter Pietersen, also called Pia, from Picardy, with wife, and daughter, 16 y.o.^2,4,5
     A Maria Petit, daughter of Philippe Petit was bp. in Leyden on 7 Mar 1621. Sponsors were Nicolas Bruvaer and Jaqueline Bello. It is of course impossible to know, whether this is this Maria Petit. There is no marriage in Amsterdam or Leyden.⁶

     Konight has for both Pieter Pia and Jan Pierro a note in pencil "who is Pieter Pierra, who married Weyntie Cornelis in 1786 in Bergen (#81), The marriage entry reads:
     Pieter Pierra is from Sedan, in the Northeast of France; Pieter Pia is from Picardy, in the northwest; Jan Pierro has no place attached; Jan Pietersen Pierrot is from La Rochelle, in the southwest. It seems unlikely that there is a relation between Pierra, Pia, and the other two. It is not clear whether Jan Pietersen Pierrot and Jan Pierro are the same or not.⁷

     Judith Piaud was born at France.¹ She married Samuel Bourdet.¹

     Judith Piaud fled with her widowed mother Judith Piaud,
two sisters and a cousin from Rochelle, parish of St. Sauveur,
France about 1681. After a short stay in England, they moved
to New York. She married Samuel Burdet, a fellow countryman
from La Rochelle in or about 1687.² Judith Piaud and Samuel Bourdet were members of the French Church at New York City.¹ Married name: Bourdet.

     Frank Tuscan Pickering was born on 3 January 1816 at Newington, NH.¹ He married Sophia Eleanora Gertrude DeWit, daughter of Carsten Cornelius DeWit and Maria Louisa Susetta DeRochement, on 18 May 1847.¹ Frank Tuscan Pickering died on 10 December 1885.¹

     His parents were Thomas Pickering and Martha Brackett.¹

     Mary Susette Pickering was born on 12 June 1857.¹ She married Jackson M Hoyt at Newington, NH.¹

     Mary Susette Pickering and Jackson had nine children. Married name: Hoyt.

     Jonas Pickles married Alice Hatch, daughter of Thomas Hatch, on 23 December 1657 at Scituate, MA.¹ Jonas Pickles died between May 1662 and 1666 at Scituate, MA, (probably.)¹

     Lydia Pickles was born on 10 April 1662 at Scituate, MA.¹ She (1) married Thomas Roose at Scituate, MA.² Lydia Pickles (2) married Samuel Stetson, son of Robert Stetson and Honour Tucker, circa 1678 at Scituate, MA, (possibly.)¹ Lydia Pickles died after 1706 at Scituate, MA, (possibly, d.r. not found in Scituate or Hanover, MA.)¹

     Mildred Pieper was born circa 1916 at New Jersey.² She married Harold F Bogert, son of Frederick Francis Bogert and Lucy G Medlon.¹

     Harold F Bogert and Mildred lived in 1940 at Union, Union County, NJ.¹ Her parents were Louis Pieper and Ida. Louis was b. 1885, NJ, and d. bet. 1920-1930; Ida was b. c. 1892, NJ.^3,4 Married name: Bogert.

     Rachel Pier married Daniel Vreeland, son of Johannes Vreeland and Metje Jurraense Van Riper.¹

     Rachel Pier lived in 1812 at Pequannock, NJ.²

Newark.)^2,3 Rachel Pier died on 7 April 1748 at Bergen County, NJ.⁴
