(#1114 H, W U-4 p225, Pet 31 p50.)3
     William Henry was born the second of seven children in PomptonTownship, Passaic, NJ. A William Henry Vreeland shows up in the 1867-68 Paterson City Directory as a machinist living at 189 Main Street. In the 1885-86 Newark City Directory he shows up again as a machinist living at 22 Nassau Street, Newark.
In the 1880 US Census he was listed at the Nassau address with his wife Mary Edith Britten and three of his four children. They are Edith Marie, Fred B. and Clarence E.
William died of general sepsis, from a crushed hand, due to a machinery accident according to his death certificate at the NJ State Archives.
