     Groot Emanuel DeGerrit died after 19 October 1667.

     He was manumitted with 10 others on 25 Feb 1644. He took the blame for the murder of Jan Primero, but was pardoned, when the hangman's rope broke. He was issued a patent on 21 Dec 1644, and again on 19 Oct 1645; these were both confirmed by Governor Nicholls on 19 Oct 1667.¹
     Emanuel/Manuel Van Angola presents a problem.
     Dickerson has Groot/Big Manuel DeGerrit and Manuel Gerrit De Reus aka Manuel Swager. Both were manumitted on 25 Feb 1644 in the original 11, who petitioned Kieft for freedom.
     Groot Manuel took the blame for the murder of Jan Primero, but was pardoned, when the rope broke. He received patents on 21 Dec 1644 and 19 Oct 1645 (both confirmed 19 Oct 1667)
     Manuel de Swager received patents from Kieft (bef. Dec 1643, confirmed 15 May 1668) and Stuyvesant (not dated, but confirmed 15 Oct 1667.)²

     In some cases the father is only Emanuel Van Angola, and without a mother's name, it could not be determined whose children they are.
     Whether any of the children belongs to Emanuel de Angola (x Christina) is also unknown. Name variation: Big Manuel.¹ Name variation: Groot Emanuel.³ Name variation: Emanuel Geert De Rous Van Angola.⁴

     Abraham De Graaf was baptized on 25 May 1718 at New York City (DRC.)¹ He married Marretje Van Wagenen, daughter of Evert Van Wagoner and Hillegond Van Heyningen, on 18 April 1741 at Dutchess County, NY.²

     His parents were Jan De Graaf and Marytje Peakok.³

     Alida De Graaf was baptized on 11 March 1750 at Schenectady, NY, (DRC.)¹ She married Johannes Arentse Vedder, son of Arent Alberts Vedder and Sara Van Den Bogert.²

     Christina De Graaf was born on 2 October 1763.¹ She married Lawrence Mynderse, son of Reynier Mynderse and Catharina Van der Volgen, on 8 December 1785.¹ Christina De Graaf died on 11 April 1790.¹

     Daniel De Graaf was baptized on 25 May 1708 at Schenectady, NY, (DRC.)² He married Gezina Swits on 26 June 1735 at Schenectady, NY, (DRC.)³ Daniel De Graaf died on 12 March 1790.¹

     Susanna De Graaf was baptized on 8 July 1737 at Schenectady, NY, (DRC.)¹ She married Andries Truax, son of Abraham Truax and Christina De La Grange, on 20 September 1778.² She died on 25 March 1807 at Schenectady, NY.²
