     Konight has Mercke, daughter of Jan and Merreke Jans Gierlinck, bp. 1 Mar 1635. In the bp. register (file cards) she is the daughter of Jan Gijsberts Muermans and Merreke (image 23). While this could be a daughter of Jan Gysbertsen Koninck, it is not the one marrying in 1747 and 1656, as she would not be married at age 12.⁴ Jan Gysbertsen Koninck and Abraham had at least two children: Hendrick (bp. 22 Jan 1642; image 50) and Jan (bp. 29 Dec 1644; image 60).⁵

     John King made a will on 21 March 1797. It was proved 19 Oct 1810. He was John King of Newark Twsp, Essex Co. Names sons and daughters: Mary King, John King, William King, France King, Polly Sanford, Catherine Vreeland, Jane Vreeland, Hannah Canfield; children of daughter Rachel Speer, dec'd; sons Aurent and Stephen King; Executors: Aury King and Aurent King. Witnesses: John Dodd, Nehemiah Ward, and Abigail Dod.⁵ He and Mallie had another son Aron (d. 5 Sep 1826), who married Ariaantje Vreeland on 22 Feb 1789 in the Newark Presbyterian Church, acc. to Desc. Jan G. Koninck (This is the same date and place, as Stephen's marriage.) Father Johannes' will only names one son Aurent, but the executors are listed as Aury King and Aurent King
     BC-Families Koning File has Arent Koning and Ariaantje Vreeland with two children, one bp. Acquackanonck, one bp. Second River; and an Arent Koning and Jannetje Vreeland, with a child bp. Acquackanonck. It seems likely that those two are the same, but no birth or marriage dates are given, and neither are any parents
     Ancestry has an Arent, bp. 1763 in Acquackanonck, son of Johannes Koningh and Marytje Spier; BC-Families has this as well, but no parents for either Johannes or Marytje. It is possible that the second Ary/Aurent in the will is a cousin.^6,2,5
     Desc. Jan G. Koning has Johannes (b. 1747), son of Arien Koning and Margrietje Bruyn married to Lea Van Giesen, rather than Johannes (b. 1751), and son of Johannes Koning and Mallie Maris. The will in 1816 confirms the marriage with Leah; but the father's will in 1810 only proves he had a son John

     Johannes, Isaac, and Abraham were triplets. Sponsors for Abraham were Harmanus Rutgers and Margrietje De Foreest, his wife.^1,4 Johannes Koning and Annatje had four children, the first three bp. NYDC:
