Ralph Tuers came to Riverton as a child with his family in 1878. He was city drayman in Riverton for 40 years. He was active as a civil leader, serving 30 years on the school board, and on the town board in a variety of positions for 40 years. He was also a Mason for 47 years, a lifelong member of the Franklin Masonic Lodge. He knew all of the old timers, was well known by everyone in town, and liked by many for his cheery manner.

Richard's baptism place was listed as DRC Stone House Plains, which is in Bloomfield, which is close to Belleville. I have not been able to verify that, the Stone House Church records online, do not go past 1850. FamilySearch only lists the birth. The source for the death was also given as the Stone House Plains Records, but FamilySearch has the place of death as Montclair, Essex County.3,2,4 Name variation: Richard A Tuers.2
