As no last names were used nor were the parents mentioned at the marriage in Amsterdam, it is hard to be sure, that Willem Jansen is indeed this Willem Jansen Traphagen. But it certainly likely.5 Willem Jansen Traphagen was a journeyman baker.5
It is unclear, whether Boswyck would be Bushwick, or a place in the Netherlands, but the Burhans book has them settled in Bushwick c. 1660. In 1664 he was banished to Wiltwyck.3,12 He made a will on 26 August 1671 at Kingston, NY.3
NOTE: While Willem does have a son Johannes with his second wife, that Johannes would have been almost 50 at the time of his marriage, so it not clear whether this Johannes is indeed that son.13
NOTE: There are no other Traphagen baptisms in NYC.14 Name variation: Willem Jansen.5,15 Name variation: Dr. Willem J Traphagen.1,2
