Aug 1886 in NJ, parents b. in Holland). Jacob is on pg. 47; his wife and niece on pg. 48.6 The 1905 census lists Jacob Smith, with Gertie Lucas (b. Aug 1888, in NJ, parents b. Holland.)7 The 1915 census lists Jacob Smith and Catherine at Irving Street at Midland Park Borough, Bergen County, NJ, with seven Kooistra children, all except the youngest one born in Holland: William (May 1892), Sadie (Apr 1893), Elsie (Jan 1896), Maragret (May 1897), Francis (Jul 1898), Andrew (Apr 1902), Henry (Nov 1904, b. NJ), and Jenny Smith (7, b. NJ). Jacob Sr. was a contractor, and had been in the US for 44 years. A Jacob Smith (Feb 1888, S, b. NJ, parents b. Holland, horseshoe) and Jennie Smith (Sep 1893, M, b. NJ, parents b. Holland) are enumerated before them, and a Harry (Sep 1889, b. NJ, parents b. Holland) Smith with wife and two children after them. Harry is a plumber.8 The 1930 census lists Jacob Smith and Catherine at Irving Street at Midland Park Borough, NJ, with three children: Henry K. (25, b. NJ, prob. a son of Catherine's 1st marriage), Jean (22, b. NJ), Elisabeth (15, adopted, b. NJ), and a boarder Garrett Klein (27, b. Holland, imm 1905.)9 Jacob Smith was a carpenter for a while, but for many years he ran the dairy in Irving Street, Midland Park, Bergen County, NJ, at Midland Park, NJ.1,7 Jacob Smith lived at Midland Park, Bergen County, NJ, for 72 years.1
