Martin Janse Van Alstyne1,2

M, b. 18 July 1655
FatherJan Martense Van Alstyne b. 1623, d. c 1698
MotherDirkje Harmense b. c 1625, d. 1682
Martin Janse Van Alstyne was born on 18 July 1655 at Old Fort, New Amsterdam, NY.3,4,5 He married Jannetje Cornelisse Bogart.1,3

Family

Jannetje Cornelisse Bogart
Children
Martin Janse Van Alstyne and Jannetje Cornelisse lived at Albany and Canajoharie, NY.3
NOTE: Cornelia van den Burgh was assigned as second wife of Martin Janse Van Alstyne, and his death date was supposed to be 1765. Esp. the last seems unlikely. More likely there was another Martin Janse, who married Cornelia and fathered her children. Some online sources have the husband of Cornelia as son of Martin Janse, but that is also problematic, as his name should be Marten Martense, if he was Marten Janse's son. Maybe he is the son of Martin's older brother Jan (see Van Alstyne at (which does not lists any children of the second generation.)6 Name variation: Martin Janse.3
