     The 1860 census lists Jacob W May and Mary E, with a son Jacob (1). Jacob (listed as Jacob H) is 26, laborer; Mary is 18, all are b. NJ.⁵ The 1870 census lists Jacob W May and Mary E at Warwick, Orange County, NY, with Jacob (11, b. NJ), Charles C (8, b. NY), Sara J (4, b. NY), and Oeter (4 mo, b. NY). Jacob is 36, b. NJ, teaming; Mary is 26, b. NY.⁶ The 1880 census lists Jacob W May and Mary E at Haverstraw, Rockland County, NY, with their children Jacob (21, b. NJ, laborer), Charles C (18, b. NY, laborer), Sara J (13, b. NY), Peter (9, b. NY), Emily (7, b. NY), and James (3, b. NY). Jacob is 46, b. NJ, hostler; Mary is 38, b. NY.⁷ She and Jacob had eleven children, but only six living in 1900: Jacob (b. c. 1859, prob. m. Catherine Garrison), Charles C (b. c. 1862), Sara J (b. c. 1867, m. William Brown c. 1884, prob. d. bef. 1900), Peter (b. c. 1871), Emily (b. c. 1873), and James (b. 1876).³ The 1900 census lists Jacob W May and Mary E at Clarkstown, Rockland County, NY, with son James (b. Oct 1876, NY, daylaborer), grand-daughter Catherine May (b. Feb 1886, NY, father b. NJ, mother b. NY), and, on the next page, grandson Alfred Brown (b. Oct 1886, NY, parents b. NY). Jacob is b. Nov 1833, NJ, day laborer, father b. NY, mother b. NJ; Mary E is b. May 1842, NY, parents b. NY. They were married 44 yrs, she had 11 children, six living.⁴ The 1905 census lists Mary E May at Clarkstown, NY, with sons Jacob May (47, b. NY) and Peter May (35, b. NY), granddaughter Catherine May (19, b. NY), and grandson Alfred Brown (17 b. NY). Mary is 63.⁸ The 1910 census lists Mary E May at Haverstraw, NY, with sons Jacob May (52, laborer), Charles May (48, laborer) and Peter May (40, laborer), Catherine May (24, mill hand in a print works
), and Alfred B May (22, laborer in print works). Mary is 72, wid, 4 living children. Catherine and Alfred are mis-identified as children, rather than grandchildren, and Alfred is listed with surname May.⁹ Name variation: Mary Elizabeth Odell.² Married name: May.

     Anna Luise Oelmann was born on 28 June 1861 at Pohl, Saxony, Germany.¹ She married Friedrich August Schadlich, son of Wilhelm Schadlich and Christiane Freiderike Wilhelmine Eichorn, on 24 October 1885 at Plauen, Saxony, Germany, (St. Johannis Evangelical Lutheran Church.)¹ Anna Luise Oelmann died on 31 January 1930 at 212 East Johnson Ave, Bergenfield, NJ.¹ She was cremated in 1950. The ashes were buried at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.¹

     Sara Olcott was born on 17 August 1742. She married Thomas Hawley, son of Nathaniel Hawley and Mary Ufford, on 16 November 1763. Sara Olcott died on 15 January 1805.

     Kristina Maria Oldesdotter was born on 4 October 1835 at Herrestads, Bohuslan, Sweden.¹ She married Olof Magnus Erickson, son of Eric Mattson and Madalena Olsdotter.¹ Kristina Maria Oldesdotter died on 28 June 1888.¹

     Desire Oldham was born on 20 August 1758 at Scituate, MA.² She (1) married Ephraim Palmer, son of Joseph Palmer and Jane Toby, on 15 July 1779 at Hanover, MA, (also recorded in Scituate, MA.)¹ Desire Oldham (2) married Jonathan Pratt on 10 January 1798 at Hanover, MA.¹ Desire Oldham died on 8 April 1838 at Scituate, MA, (Death recorded in Scituate but may have occurred in Hanover, MA or elsewhere as it is just a record from her gravestone.)¹

     NOTE: The dates here made no sense. His father married Grace Wadsworth in 1723, and Hubbeard had a marriage date for Thomas in 1733! Genealogy.com has his birth date as c. 1730, and his marriage to Jane as 10 Dec 1752 in Marshfield, MA. (or Scituate) Daughter Desire's dates also are suspect. Hubbard has her birth date as c. 1764 and place as "possibly in Hanover, Scituate or Pembroke, MA but no record found there. Most likely Hanover but no proof. Also possibly Marshfield, MA." Mass. Vitals has her birthdate as 1758 (via familySearch). Sources are in agreement about the marriage date with Ephraim Palmer; it is unclear where the marriage date with Jonathan Pratt comes from. Worldconnect only has the marriage with Palmer; Genealogy.com has it as a first marriage.^3,4,1,5,6 Married name: Palmer. Married name: Pratt.

     Hannah Oldham was born on 23 June 1700 at Pembroke, MA.¹ She married Henry Joslin, son of Henry Josline and Abigail Stockebridge, on 23 September 1718 at Pembroke, MA.¹ Hannah Oldham died after June 1738 at Hanover, MA, (possibly.)¹

     Married name: Joslin.

     Hannah Oldham was born on 10 October 1681.¹ She married Amos Gates, son of Simon Gates and Margaret, on 19 May 1703.¹ Hannah Oldham died after 1725. NOTE: Death date was given as 10 Oct 1681, but this is of course impossible!¹

     Her parents were Samuel Oldham and Hannah Dana.¹ Married name: Gates.

     Isaac Oldham was born on 9 April 1669 at Scituate, MA.¹ He married Hannah Keene, daughter of Josiah Keen and Hannah Dingley, on 21 November 1695 at Duxbury, MA.¹ Isaac Oldham died circa June 1736 at Pembroke, MA.¹
