     The 1870 census lists Kenneth K King at Beaufort Township, Carteret County, NC, in the household of his parents William and Sarah King, with his siblings, and probably his grandparents. Kenneth is 20, b. NC, at school; William (45, b. NC) is a hotel keeper, and Francis, the probablr grandfather is 64, b. NC, a physician.6 The 1880 census lists Kenneth K King and Julia at Union Township, Bergen County, NJ, with a daughter Caroline (3m, b. Mar 1880, NJ) and his brother Charles (15, b. NC, at school). Kenneth is 30, b. NC, physician; Julia is 31, b. NY, keeps house.4
Kenneth K King's obituary appeared on 16 November 1882 in the Hackensack Republican (pg. 3, col. 5.)2

     The birth of daughter Caroline is probably 8 May 1879-80, acc to NJ Birth Index; but the ages of the parents are way off. Mrs. Julia M. King, widow Kenneth, is still listed in the Brooklyn City Directory in 1902.7,8
