A former fireman on the Northern Railroad, named Samuel Teachman, fell from a bridge of te Pennsylvania Road in Jersey City, on Saturday last, and received injuries which caused his death a short time afterwards. His remains were brought up to Clarkstown for interment on Sunday.8
A second obituary appeared on 16 March 1883 in the Bergen Democrat
Samuel Trachman, of Clarkville, Rockland County, employed in the construction of an iron bridge over Grand Street, Jersey City, for the National Docks Elevated Railway, fell to the street Friday and was killed.9

Samuel Teachman, of Carlstadt, went to Jersey City a few days ago to work on the National Docks Railroad. On Friday night he fell from the trestle, receiving injuries from which he died yesterday. The body was sent to Carlstadt.10

William arrived in New York in 1639 and removed to Fort Orange in 1692.2 William Teller made a will on 19 March 1698. It was proved 23 Mar 1701. Mentions wife Mary; eldest son Andrew; son William; Anna Margartie, daughter of dec'd son Jacob; daughter-in-law Susanah Brockholst; daughter Janake Schuyler, of their mother's portion. Children Andrew, Helena Rumbout; the two children of daughter Mary Van Allen, dec'd; Elizabeth Van der Pool, William, John, and Janake Schyler; son Caspar. Executor: Son Andrew.4
