Possibly Jan Cornelisse and Ybetje had a son Jan, who married Susanna (he might be the Jan Janse Buys, who is a sponsor at the baptism of Jannetje Appelby in Brooklyn); also Cornelis, son of Jan Buys, is baptised on Pinksterdag 1677 in Brooklyn, no mother or witnesses listed
A note on the FGS questioned whether Jacob Jansen was the son of Jan Cornelisse Buys and his first or his second wife. Considering his father is a witness at his marriage, I would assume he is less than 30 yrs old, but that still makes either wife (including the third one) a possiblity; and either wife was still young enough to be the mother (Ybetje <30, Femmetje <40; Willemtje had two more children after that). Most sources have him as son of Femmetje; as he has a daughter Femmetje, I am inclined to agree.4,5,6 Name variation: Jacob Jansen Buys.4
