Jan Cornelisse Buys and Willemtje Tyssen made a will on 29 November 1686. It was probated 28 Jan 1689/90. It mentions Willempje's four children, two by Roelof Willems.4
He took the oath of allegiance in Sep 1687. He had been in the country 39 years.11
While Jan Cornelisse Buys was also called Damen, he is not the same as Jan Cornelis Damen, who married Fytie Martens. They are contemporaries, but the first seems to have used mostly Buys, the second used exclusively Damen; it is unclear who Jan Cornelis Damen's father is; Jan Cornelisse Buys's mother had two brothers Cornelis.
NYG&B has a note with the deed, that Jan came from Bunnik; and lists 13 children.12 Name variation: Jan Cornelis Buys.10 Name variation: Jan Damen (He was adopted by his uncle Jan Janse Damen.)4,13
