Theunis Thomaszen1

M, b. 1600, d. 1666
Theunis Thomaszen was born in 1600. He married Belitje Jacobus on 29 March 1625 at Naarden, The Netherlands, (this date is not confirmed.)2,3 (Banns on 9 March 1625 at DRC, Naarden, The Netherlands. Family

Belitje Jacobus
Children
Belitje is listed in a list of NYDC members since 1649 as "Belitje Jacobs, wife of Theunis de Metselaer."7
Metselaer Genealogy does not have Wyntje as a daughter, but does have Dirck (b. 1648, married Johanna Jans, and took the name Quick). The Quick Fmily also has Dirck (bp 26 Jul 1648, father Theunis de Metselaer, sponsor Hendrick Janszen Van Naerden). He married Hanna or Anna Jans, and maybe (2) Anna DeHooges.8,9
Theunis may have been of Scottish descent, as Naarden was a fortress, where Scottish soldiers were housed during the 80 yr war. Belitje was the daughter of Jacobus Vleckesteijn. For more information, see Quick Family.1 Name variation: Van Naerden.4 Name variation: Teunis Thomaszen Metselaer (but that is his profession: mason.)3,4 Name variation: Theunis Thomaszen Quick.10,11,12 Name variation: Theunis Thomaszen Cuyck.
