     Samson Benson was born on 4 July 1652.1 He (1) married Tryntje Van Deusen, daughter of Mattheus Abrahamsz Van Deusen and Helena Robberts.2 Samson Benson (2) married Grietje Kermer, daughter of Abraham Kermer and Metje Davids, on 12 June 1707.1 Samson Benson was buried on 2 June 1730 in the DRC, at New York City as "Samson Benson."1,3

     Samson Benson had at least one more daughter: Catharina Bensen, sister of Samuel, Sr. is buried in NYC on 4 Jul 1728.3
     Considering Hendrikus Bensing names a daughter Tryntje and a son Simson, and that Samson Benson's children Samson and Elizabeth are sponsors at the baptisms of Hendrikus's children, Hendrik is most likely a son of Samson. Catharina is then prob. the daughter of Gerrit Van Laer, but for that more proof is needed, as none of her relatives seem to be sponsors of her children. Name variation: Samson Benson the Potter.4
