     The 1870 census lists Louis Leiser and Elizabeth at Brooklyn, Kings County, NY, with their children Louis, William, Emma, Elizabeth, Henrietta, Elenora and Fred.¹ The 5 June 1880 census lists Louis Leiser and Elizabeth at 334 Gold Street at Brooklyn, Kings County, NY, with their children William, Elizabeth, Elenora, Fred, Fredrick and Emma. A Martha Lesier b.1862 was enumerated with them, but this is probably Henrietta.²

He was Robbert Walters, jm from Plymouth in Engelt; she Catharina Leydsler, jd from N. Yorke, both living here.)⁴

     Catherine Leisler and Robert had at least one daughter, Sara, bp. May 1695 in Brooklyn.⁵ Married name: Walters.

     Carmer File had Francina married to a Jesse Kierstede (without dates. Colonial Arts has Jesse as son of Lucas Kierstede and Rachel Kip. The phrasing is some what ambigeous, however, that Jesse is born in 1695, too late to be Francina's first husband. The source of this was the NYG&B Record vol. 61. NYG&B Record (vol. 13) has the marriage record for Jesse and Jacoba Lewis.^2,3,7,8 Married name: Lewis.

     Jacob Leisler was from Franckfort acc. to his marriage certificate.^2,3,4 He married Elsje Tymens, daughter of Tymen Jansen and Marretje Jans, on 11 April 1663 at New York City (DRC.)^2,3,5,6 (Banns on 18 March 1663. He was Jacob Leysler, jm from Franckfort; she Elsje Tymens, wid. of Pieter Van der Veen.)³ Jacob Leisler died on 16 May 1691.^2,4

     He came to New Netherland on the "Otter" on 27 Apr 1660 as a soldier in the Dutch West India Company. He led "Leisler's Rebellion," and was executed by hanging on 16 May 1691.^4,7

     Elsje is listed in the NYDC member list of 1686 as "Elsje Thymens, wife of Jacob Leydsler" (member #103, name #127-8). Susanna is listed as "Susanna Leydsler" (member #104, name #129.)¹⁰ Married name: Vaughton. Married name: De Klein.

     Euphemia Leitch was born in 1795 at Scotland.¹ She married Neil McCallum.¹ Euphemia Leitch died on 8 July 1868 at Canada.¹

     Henry Lemmerman was born in June 1848 at Germany.² He married Anna Wilhelmina Gross, daughter of Christian F Gross and Anna L, on 15 August 1872 at Hackensack, NJ, (German Lutheran Church.)^3,4,5 Henry Lemmerman died in 1924.⁶ He and Wilhelmina Lemmerman were buried in Maple Grove Park Cemetery in Hackensack.^6,7

     The 1900 census lists Henry Lemmerman and Wilhelmina, with two children, both b. NY: Louisa H (18, b. Dec 1881) and Hermann (15, b. Jan 1885); his mother-in-law Lucy Gross (79, b. Mar 1821, Germany, wid., 8 children, 7 living); Theresa Karock (17, b May 1883, Germany, servant, imm 1893), and William Kaeshbe (37, b. Dec 1862, Germany, servant, imm. 1880, alien). Henry is 51, b. Jun 1848, rubber manufacturer, imm 1865); Wilhelmina is 51, b. Sep 1848, Germany, imm. unclear. They were married 28 yrs, two children, both living.⁵ The 1905 census lists Henry Lemmerman and Anna W at Hasbrouck Heights, Bergen County, NJ, with Hermann Lemmerman (20, b. Dec 1884, NY, insurance clerk), and Anna L. Gross (84, b. Mar 1821, Germany, wid., 40? yrs in US); Julia Ruane (20, b. Jan 1883, Ireland, house servant, 1y in US) and William Kasahuba (42, b. Dec 1862, Germany, coachman, 16y in US, alien). Henry was 56, b. Jun 1848, Germany, rubber manufacturer; Anna W was 56, b. Sep 1848, Germany.² Name variation: Claus Henry Lemmerman.⁴

     Maria Lemon married Gedeon Marlett, son of John Marlett and Catherine Aumack. Maria Lemon died in 1860 at Cambria County, PA.²
