     Hugo R Schoenborn was born in 1853 at Saxony.1 He married Rosina Mattjetscheck, daughter of Anthony Mattjetscheck and Rosina, in 1876.2,1 Hugo R Schoenborn died on 12 January 1904 at Hackensack, NJ.3 He was buried in NY Cemetery (Maple Grove) in Hackensack.4

     He immigrated on 16 Apr 1868 on the "Hermann." He was 16, a merchant, and had left from Bremen. He was naturalized in NY Court of Common Pleas on 28 Feb 1874. (imm. Apr 1868). His birthdate is listed as Dec 1851. He was a baker, and living at 55 Bayard Street in NYC.5,6 The 1880 census lists Hugo R Schoenborn and Rosina at Hackensack (New Barbadoes Twp), NJ, with a daughter Rosina R (2, b. NJ) and two German boarders, both bakers; and a German servant. Hugo is a baker as well, he and his parents were born in Saxony.1 The 1900 census lists Hugo R Schoenborn and Rosina at 28 Main Street at Hackensack, NJ, with their children, all b. NJ: William R (May 1882), Henry A (Oct 1884, d. 16 Feb 1903, of typhoid, obit in the Hackensack Republican), Authar R (Dec 1888), and Anna W (Jul 1893); and his parents-in-law Anthony Mattjetscheck and Rosina. Hugo is a life-insurance clerk. Rosina S had had seven children, four living; Rosina M seven children, two living.2,7
