     The bp. date of Geertje is 31 Mar 1689 in Brooklyn and 3 Mar 1689 (or at least between 3 Mar and 21 Apr) in Flatbush; Sutphen Family has Dirck's bp. date as 3 Mar 1689, and Geertje's as 3 May of the same year. No place is given for Dirck; there seems to be quite a bit of confusion here. Find-a-grave has an extensive bibliography for Dirck, the father, for more information.5,4,9,10

     Amy Van Tassel was born circa 1755.1 She married Jilles Hopper, son of Johannes Hopper and Maria Van Norden, on 17 December 1795 at New York City (NY Presbyterian Church.)2,3,1 Amy Van Tassel died on 21 March 1838 aged 83 (Frost has date as 23 Mar, age 85.)1,4 She was buried in Old Town Burying Ground in Hempstead.4
