It was proved 19 Nov 1702, both were deceased. They mention the children of Josyntie Thomas, got by Peter Wessels, dec'd, Anna, Wessel, Maria and Johanes; the children of Geritt Hendricks, dec'd, the second husband of said Josyntie Thomas, Peter and Elizabeth; and our own child Jacobus Serby. Letters of Administration were granted to the stepsons Wessel and Johanes Peterse.10,11

     He graduated with a BS, Yale University 1939, MD University of Chicago 1945, MA Spanish Middlebury College 1999. Charles Wilfred Savage was a physician, scholar, medical missionary, poet.
     He served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1953; became a practicing psychoanalyst; was an early researcher in LSD treatments for alcoholism at Spring Grove State Hospital; an assistant professor of psychiatry, emeritus, Johns Hopkins University; a professor of psychiatry at the University of Maryland; and was a lifetime member of the Baltimore and District of Columbia Psychoanalytic Society.

Savage was a psychiatrist for the Virgin Islands Health Department from 1988 to 1992. In retirement, Savage became a medical missionary to Guatemala.

By taking courses in Vermont over the course of several summers, he was conferred a master's in Spanish from Middlebury College in 1999. He published a book of poetry in Spanish and English, "Las Tinieblas en el Dia de Pentecostes." His poems have been accepted for publication in Aries, The Oak and the Courtland Review. He also published 50 papers on psychopharmacology and psychoanalysis, several papers were co-authored with his wife, Ethel.1 His parents were Willis Isaac Savage and Louisa Close Howard.2

The ashes were buried at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.1
