The following info is not verified or documented. Catherine Leeds was found with William Leeds in the NYC directory. I am assuming this to be Ellen Coughlin's parents because Jack Gallagher and Joan McInerney (children of Marion Mckeon), said Ellen's maiden name was Leeds, and this family was the only Leeds listed in the directory. Also Ellen named one son William and one daughter Catherine, and tradition is to name the first and second child after the grandparents. I have William and Catherine in the directory until about 1895, they lived on 14th St in NYC. He was a hat maker, after that Catherine is listed as a widow. There is no record of her after 1908.2 Married name: Leeds.
