     Helena Engelina Carpentier was born on 28 October 1889 at Rotterdam, The Netherlands.^2,1 She married Gijsbertus Arie Langerlaan on 19 July 1911 at Rotterdam.³ Helen Langerlan died on 18 January 1975 at Auburn Memorial Hospital, Auburn, Cayuga County, NY.² She was buried in East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton.²

     Helen Langerlaan immigrated on 6 June 1916 to 27 Barclay Ave, Clifton, Passaic County, NJ, on the Nieuw Amsterdam, from Rotterdam, arriving in New York on 6 Jul 1916 with two children: Albert (3) and Johan (2). She was going to her husband G. Langerlaan in 27 Barclay Ave, Clifton, NJ. Her contact home was her mother G. Carpentier.⁴ The 1920 census lists Gijsbertus Langerlaan and Helen at 269 ?man Street at Passaic (Ward 2), Passaic County, NJ, with two children: John (5) and Albert (7), his parents: Gijsbertus (55) and [unreadable] (62) and a brother-in-law John Carpentier (23.)⁵

William C and Mary J are both 34, all are b. NY.⁹ The 1870 census lists William May and Mary Jane at Ramapo Twp, NY, with Sarah J (19), Levi (14), John H (12), Manilla (7mo), and William Carson (80) William C is 44, Mary J is 43, all are b. NY.¹⁰ The 1880 census lists William May and Mary Jane at Ramapo Twp, NY, with son John H (22), granddaughter Martha Van Saun (4), and his mother Annie May (79, b. NJ.) William C is 53, Mary J is 54, all, except Annie May, are b. NY.³ Married name: May.
